Eventually I did find some help from this girl named Ava Smiths. She looked strange with her hair dyed a pastel pink and a cute dress that matched. I showed her my schedule and we found out we have every class together but one. Which just happens to be homeroom. We found my locker and homeroom with only seconds to spare. My first class was math. Great.... My worst subject. Ava even said good luck on my way into class. I guess that means you have an awful homeroom teacher. Ava ran to her English class and I quickly walked in. As soon as I entered the first person I see is Sage. I'll say this, it's a good thing but also bad. Only because I don't want to be asked about my whole life. I feel like Sage is that kind of person. But I sit by him regardless. He is my friend, right? He puts up his hand and I give him a high five. "Nice pin, where'd ya get it?" He joked pointing at the 'Closet Club' pin. I rolled my (E/C) eyes. "That was like five minutes ago. Don't act like it's been a day since we've meet." I rested my head in my hand. Sage shrugged and the last bell rang as if it knew our conversation was over.
A long and dull hour and a half later, we were all let out of class. I can't say much about that class. It was boring, as I had expected. Scary even, they said I had to talk in front of the class! In math!? Okay.... You do you math. Anyway, after class was over I had a small amount of time to speak and connect with Sage. A really small time. We had one minute to talk. "I don't have the next class with you but Jack is there. Don't let anyone else talk to you. People are scary here. Dark, you know?" he commanded me. He packed up everything quickly, explaining how this place works as if it was some prison. I nodded, hiding my confusion. "Bye! Good luck!" he smiled and touched my shoulder. I didn't even realize he had packed and was leaving already. I was stunned. I snapped out of my weird sudden freeze and left as well. My second period was history, but that's not important. The room was strange and stood out. A smell of oranges and flowers smothered me. An old women with a wrinkled face and close to death was supposedly the teacher. At least she looked old enough to know and live through all of history. I was late once again and I awkwardly sat in the last seat as the teach start calling out names. Jack was in the back corner, where it was the darkest. Maybe he was vampire. As I glanced at him our eyes met. We were kind of locked in this stare. Until we both eventually started blushing crazily and turned away. Why do I feel like this? Someone poked my back. "Hey, it's Ava!" she whispered. I stayed forward to pretend I was listening to the teacher. "We are like friends now right? Cause that'd be cool. My goal this year is to be friends with like everyone!" I could hear the smile in her voice. I moved my head to reply. Of course I said yes, who would say no to a sweet girl like her? Friend count: Three. Then I remembered Sage told me not to talk to anyone else. Oops.

It was lunch now. I had four class done with now and only two more to go. My eyes had watered some much from yawning I had basically been crying. Luckily now, I could get to know my new friends. I was unsure and scared. The lunch room can be dangerous! People trampling over you to get food and have a table with friends. It's messed up man! After class, I went to my top shiny red locker and stuff my supplies in there. Jack and Sage must have walked up behind me sometime because when I turned around there they were. I jump and put my hand over my heart. "Don't do that!" I scolded them. "S-Sorry! Guess we should have said something," Jack apologized. "We came to show you how the lunch room works!" Sage smiled and placed his arm around Jack. He leaned on Jack as if he was just wall. "Fun," I shrugged and walked ahead of them. They both looked panicked as I started to leave them behind. "Hold it!" Sage grabs my arm. "We have to all walk together! Like in the Wizard of Oz!" He moved his arm threw mine. Jack awkwardly did it as well. We all walked to the cafeteria in silence. Except for Sage whistling the Wizard of Oz song and his shoes making a sound when he skipped instead of walk. I giggled quietly at his weirdness. The cafeteria wasn't far. You just turned two corners and there it was. A giant room with checkered floors and blue tables. People with personalized lunch boxes or eating of a red tray. The food was greasy pizza and an apple with plain milk. Sage made me sit at one of the tables. "Stay here and we'll get you some food, okay?" he patted my head as if I was a cat. I just sighed and nodded. "Good (Name)!" he grinned and then left to get food. Which didn't take long. He was back in just a few minutes. Jack followed beside him carrying his own tray of food as well as mine. They sat with me and Jack handed over my tray. I stared down at the food kind of disgusted by the greasy pizza. I decide to only munch on the apple and forget the pizza. "How was school?" Sage asked like a mother would. "Meh," I shrugged. "Is someone bulling you? I'll help!" He got a little to close to my face. "Sage, stop freaking out." Jack laughed. Ava sat down in front of me and beside Jack. "Hey!" she waved at us all. "Hi Ava..." Sage sighed heavily. "Can you not sit here?" Jack rolled his eyes. I was slightly confused by their rude reaction to Ava. "Gosh, you guys are so mean! I'm just-" "Trying to make friends!" the boys interrupted her. "Heh... Maybe I say that a little to much!" she chuckled. "But I'm not leaving." she argued. "Fiiiine..." they said in unison. Well, these were my friends! I have a feeling this year will be a little crazy!
