I woke up to the buzzing sound of my phone vibrating. I constantly hit over my bed until I felt it. I picked it up answering it and placing it on my ear.
"Hello." I sleepily spoke
"Would you like to accept a collect call from Jay wake ya ass up." Said the voice box
Of course I know the voice from anywhere, but why the fuck is he calling me collect raising my bill.
"Yes."
I waited a little as it connected us.
"Hell'a." He spoke
"Why are you calling me collect?"
He then let out a deep sigh"I'm in jail."
I swear my whole body flew up as I looked at the phone, I was wide awake now.
"What the fuck you mean you're in jail."
"Exactly what I said, they locked muh ass up Jay." He scoffed
"For what, what did you do?" I asked getting out of my bed
"I was at tha wrong place at tha wrong time."
"Fuck August, when I said be careful that meant not get locked up, and run from guns."
I began placing on my shoes as I held the phone between my ear and shoulder.
"Man I already told ya how it is don' hea in Nola."
I furrowed my eyebrows as I grabbed my phone and looked at it before placing it back on my ear.
"Nola? Boy you still in New Orleans?"
"Ye, I coulda sworn I called ya earlier wit muh nieces Jay." He retorted
I slowly slid my shoes back off.
"You was supposed to be on a flight back tonight, so I thought you got arrested at the airport here or something."
"Naa, let's be smart about it na."
"Shut up, but what am I supposed to do?"
"Aight, I already got tha whole L.A. Shit taken care of, all I need ya ta do is handle tha ATL shit." He spoke
"What exactly do you mean by handle the Atlanta shit?"
He let out a deep sigh before speaking "come on na Jay, I ain't got time for the play slow game. I only got a good ten minutes ta talk ta ya lets make it a good one."
