"Uh, I don't speak to any of them," I spoke.
"Okay, I'm not going to pressure you to tell me. So, tell me who you live with," She spoke. I smiled, and almost cried at the idea of her being so supportive, and didn't push me once to talk about anything I didn't want to.
"I live with a friend, her family, and girlfriend."
"So they're like, your family?"
"I guess," I smiled, thinking about how in a way, they are like my family. They allowed me to move in, Sonia takes me out with her each Wednesday for brunch. Rob treats me like I am his other daughter, and the kids treat me like a sister. Although, I am a little older than Santana.
"Tell me about them,"
"Well," I smiled as the girl seemed so interested in Santanas family. "Santana, she is one strong girl. I met her," Do I say, or not? "In a home that her and I were in. She was really sweet, and I was nothing but a bitch to her, but she never took it to heart. She was.. She was recently in an accident, which resulted in her being in a coma for six weeks,"
"Oh shit,"
"But she woke up, and now shes with us again," I smiled.
"I bet that was hard on her girlfriend?"
I nodded while taking a sip of coffee. "Britt didn't cope too well. She sat by Santana daily, and always talked and sung to her. Brittany, is unlike anyone else I have ever met. She has such an awesome personality, she knows how to make us laugh, and she knows how to comfort us all."
Varlie smiled, "What about the family? Santanas family, right?"
I nodded, then began rambling on about how amazing and generous the family was, and how great the kids were. I told her some funny stories of Abril, and how polite and lovely Carlos is. I told her all about Pedro and how he was my little mate, and how he absolutely adores me. Before we knew it, the coffee was coming to closing, so we were asked to leave.
We walked outside, and stood there staring at one another, before she broke the silence. "I guess, this is goodbye until yoga next week?"
I really did not want to leave her, she was a person I wanted to always be around. She got me talking more than I had talked to anyone before. Instead of being angry and mad all the time, with her, I felt at ease. She made me feel things I had never felt toward anyone before. And I had known her not even a day. "It-It doesn't have to be," I said, shyly.
"What do you have in mind?" She smirked.
"Well, I know there's some pretty awesome bars around here," I suggested. She smiled as did I, then nodded. I called us a taxi, and got it to take us to the nearest bar. We wandered on in, looking out of sort in our casual/exercise clothes, but neither of us seemed to mind. I walked up to the bar, and got us a cocktail each, then took it back to Varlie who was leaning against a table. I passed her the drink, then sat down on the stool.
The two of us drunk away, as we chatted about everything and anything. She told me all about her childhood, and her schooling years, all about her friends and the places shes been to. I never spoke a word about myself, which was probably a little weird for her, but I didn't want to scare her away with my broken childhood stories. "Lets dance?" She slurred her words. I tried to protest, but couldn't as she grabbed my hand and dragged me over to the dance floor.
She danced like a proper stripper, and I know I shouldn't say that, but she really did. And to be perfectly honest, it was a major turn on. She got over the dancing real quick, so we took our drinks and went and sat up on the roof, where it was more casual and quiet. The roof overlooked the city, and it was gorgeous. We sat on the edge, with our feet dangling off the side.
She began telling stories once again, and we were laughing historically at one another. "-And the funniest thing was, she actually was not correct at all," She finished before bursting into a fit of laughter as did I.
(Thirty minutes later) "I was a kid, walking down the street, to the beat, of a miracle cat-"
"Cat? Where the fuck did that come from?" I squealed in laughter after Varlie had just tried to rap.
"Like you can do any better," She slurred.
"I was in the middle of raising my voice at the teddy, my palms sweaty, everybody getting messy-" I spat out before the two of us squealed loudly in fits of laughter.
(One hour later)
"Tell me more about your sister," Varlie spoke. The two of us were overly intoxicated, but it felt so easy, and nice drinking with someone like her. She was so caring, and she made me laugh more than I ever had before. It was like the two of us had known each other for life, and not just met that day.
"She was just so, amazing," I smiled, looking up to the twinkling stars in the sky. "She cared about everyone and everything. The love she had for me was somewhat reassuring, and comforting," I smiled at the thought of my sister.
"Do you visit her often?"
"Often enough. I fix her grave every month, and lay nice flowers down." I spoke, taking a sip of whatever number drink I was up to. "I talk to her, and tell her all about my life and what has been happening the past six years."
(Two hours later)
"We should pr-probably, get to our homes," I slurred after we had just necked back three shots each.
"Probably," Varlie slurred.
"We should do this again sometime,"
"Of course,"
"You have my number, hit me up sometime," I smiled. She nodded, then put her arms out for me to pull her into a hug.
"Thank you for tonight," She whispered.
"It's okay," I smiled, then pulled away. She gave one last wave before disappearing through the building, and to god only knows where.
The entire way home, I couldn't help but think of the day, and what an awesome time I had with the most gorgeous blonde ever. She was funny, and made me feel somewhat happy. I felt sad that our incredible day had to end, but revealed that she was interested in doing it again. We knew each other more than we thought, and told each other everything. I had never felt so vulnerable, and at ease, but with her, everything changed. The feeling I had for her, was strong, and I couldn't just push them away as I do to everything else. I want to see this girl more often, and I need to see this girl more often.
