Cass's P.O.V
Growing up as a child, I had it rough. Really fucking rough. Not that I ever dwell on it and feel sorry for myself, I just feel as though the way I grew up was the reason for many of the things that had happened to me in my adult years. Such as being in and out of prison, then being put into a numerous amount of treatment centers. But we all knew, that nothing could fix the pieces that were broken inside, and had been since I was a child.
During the time Santana was at the home, something hit me. As if I didn't have to be the person I was becoming, and the right way to change was now. She was so calm, and generous. She always had something nice to say about everything. Although, sometimes, I heard her give some people a piece of her mind. The way she went about with her words. She would put random words together, insulting someone yet in the most beautiful way ever.
I would never admit any of that to her,
I'm too much of a tough bitch for that.
The day started out as normal as it ever does, only this time, it included Santana. I got ready in my bedroom, as per usual, then darted across the almost frozen grass and walked inside to the kitchen. Brittany and Santana were dancing around, cooking who would know what, because I am almost 100 perfect sure that Brittany doesn't know how to read a recipe. "Good morning," I smiled.
"Morning," They both spoke.
"What are you doing today?" I asked, while filling a bowl with cereal.
"We were thinking of going out for lunch, then hang around until the carnival is on," Brittany replied, standing behind Santana with her arms around her waist. I nodded, then poured the milk into the bowl. "Did you want to come?"
I shook my head as I swallowed the cereal I had scooped into my mouth. "I have stuff to do, it's okay."
"You need us to drive you somewhere?"
"It's okay, I can walk. It's only around the corner," I smiled. The two gave me a smiled back, then continued throwing random shit into the pan. I grabbed my phone and wallet from the counter, and said a quick goodbye to the girls, before heading out the door and toward the building I had become so immune to.
I came here most mornings. It relaxed me, helped me and medicated me. I walked into the room, that had mats sitting around in rows, and not a single body was present. I walked over, and sat down on one of the mats. The room was empty, aside from the mats and the white board behind me. It wasn't the best looking room either, but it was enough and it was all we needed.
Minutes went by, and people finally started to turn up. I didn't recognize anyone, but that was to be expected because people come and go daily. No one has ever stayed long enough for me to get to know, and part of that would stress me out. Next to me, was a blonde girl, with bright blue eyes. She was gorgeous, and really caught me off guard. She was shy, though, wouldn't start a conversation first. I could tell just by looking at her. She was in leggings and a hoodie, super casual but she rocked it. Her hair was out, and probably reached her mid back. On the other side of me, was a boy, who I never felt like paying any attention to. This girl, had my attention.
The mentor walked in, and clapped her hands together. "Right, should we start with the basics seeing as there's so many new faces?" Everyone agreed, and I watched as the blonde girl took her hoodie off, to show off her rocking body in a sports singlet, then threw it beside her. The mentor blabbered on, but I was too fixated on the girl next to me. She did every pose so perfect, better than I could, and that's saying something.
"Quiet the flexible one," I joked.
"Pays to be," She smirked, before switching poses. Her accent was clearly Australian, and very very strong, I might add. "What brings you here?"
