Coming back to New Jersey was something I never really thought about or planned on doing since leaving. I don't know how, but my best friend some how managed to convince me that I needed to go face my past otherwise I would never really move forward like I needed to. Although that was completely fine with me, she still insisted it happened. So here we are, about to land in the one place I truly despised with everything in me. I was glad we planned everything a couple weeks before because I probably would've bítched out by now.
Almost 30 minutes later we were already landed and waiting to get off of the plane. "Ugh, I wish this would speed up. I'm ready to go to the new house." my best friend Melodee spoke beside me. As if answering her wish, we were called next to get off of the plane. Both of us were eager to get off of the plane, but for two completely different reasons. I was eager to get away from the plane in fear that if I stayed on any longer I would refuse to get off; while Melodee was eager to see the new house we had just purchased. I must admit, I was excited for it too but my nerves are overriding my excitement right now.
Quickly making our way to grab our shared suitcase, we found it and hightailed out of the airport to wave a taxi down.
"Where to?" the man with a yankee accent asked with a loud voice, "2006 Southview drive in Patterson." I spoke loudly back. Turning around in his seat he said, "That's quite a bit away. You sure you got enough money to-" he was cut off by Melodee chunking a wad of cash at him. "Nevermind, Patterson it is." he mumbled before pulling off and into the traffic.
/ An hour and a half later /
Pulling up to the gate surrounding our new house the taxi driver let out a quick whistle, "Damn, what'd you guys do? Rob a bank?" he spoke before laughing. "No, that's too mainstream. We killed someone instead." I said with a straight face before getting out of the vehicle followed by Melodee and grabbed our bag. Walking up to the key pad, I typed in the code before the gate swung open and let us in. Closing the gate on the other side we made our way up the long driveway and to the front door.
"You ready to see the finished product?" she asked with a smile.
Holding back a sarcastic comment, I smiled at her excitement and nodded my head at her. Opening the front door I saw a gorgeous two sided staircase that met at the middle that led to the bed rooms. "Damn, your mom has some good taste Mel." I complemented feeling excited to live here.
Both of us walked towards the left into what appeared to be the first living room only to see a few boxes on the floor. "Crap, I forgot we still had to unpack our stuff." she said causing us both to groan.
"You get started in your room and I'll do this. I can handle it," I spoke to her with a soft smile knowing how tired she was. "Oh, and your night meds are in the front end of the suitcase." I finished before she could tell me no. Sighing, she came up and hugged me "I love you. I'm proud of you for coming back here." she whispered in my ear. Hugging her back I replied quietly, "I love you more. Now go to bed." Tiredly she made her way to the suitcase and grabbed her stuff before heading up the stairs until I couldn't see her anymore.
Turning around I sighed before starting to unpack.
//
Almost an hour later I had already finished unpacking both living rooms, the kitchen, and the guest bathroom while also making a list of things we needed to get. By the time I was done it was almost midnight so I grabbed my stuff out of the suitcase before heading upstairs in the direction of my room.
Walking in I saw how much I still had to unpack, which luckily wasn't too bad, before I brought my stuff into the bathroom. Quickly taking my sleeping meds I stripped off and took a quick shower before changing into my sleeping clothes which consisted of shorts and a sports bra.

Leaving my hair down to air dry, I unpacked a few boxes with my clothes in them and put them where they were supposed to go until I was so tired I could barely stand

Leaving my hair down to air dry, I unpacked a few boxes with my clothes in them and put them where they were supposed to go until I was so tired I could barely stand. Crawling into my bed I set my alarm and put my phone on the charger before falling quickly asleep.

BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP.
Barely opening my eyes I reached over and shut my phone alarm off. Laying in bed for a few more seconds, I finally got up and dragged myself into my closet before picking out an outfit to wear to school. Funnily enough, I was so tired that I wasn't even nervous for school. Finding an outfit after a few minutes of looking I went into my bathroom and took my meds before squeezing into the outfit, brushing my teeth, and brushing my hair before throwing it into a bun.

Coming out of the bathroom, I headed to my vanity and begain applying makeup to my face. Hearing groaning from down the hall I knew that Melodee was finally up as well. Quickly finishing my makeup, I grabbed my phone, my jacket, and my leather bag before heading towards her room. Without knocking I entered her room to see her sitting up on her bed looking like a complete demon. Without saying a word I headed into her bathroom to grab her morning medicine and grab a water bottle that was on her cabinet before bringing them to her to take. While she was taking them, I went into her closet and started picking out an outfit for her before finding a similar one to mine.

Bringing it to her, I saw she was slowly waking up easier now that her pill was kicking in. "I would've brought coffee, but we haven't gone grocery shopping yet." I spoke to her. Nodding her head in acknowledgement she stood up to change before she made her way towards her own vanity and began on her makeup. 20 minutes later, minus the 20 minutes used to find her makeup in boxes and brushing her hair and teeth, we were both ready to head to the school I hated oh so much.
Deciding on driving in with separate cars, we both grabbed our bags and keys and made our way to our babies. The school was only 20 minutes away, but it took us 30 because we stopped off for coffee.

Arriving into the school was pretty entertaining actually. Everyone was staring as Mel and I stepped out of our cars and met up in the middle before smirking at eachother. Not to mention, we both have resting bitch face syndrome so that probably helped with the look some. Making our way up the front steps we made our way to the office which I thankfully remembered the location of. Walking up to the front desk was interesting due to the look on the front desk workers face when she recognised my name. What can I say, I'm pretty popular.
Okay, maybe it was the fact that my face was plastered everywhere looking for me four years ago, but that doesn't matter now.
Looking at our schedules I see that we have the exact same schedule just like I requested.

Maybe this wouldn't be as bad as I thought it would be.
