10: Tracking The Past

"What's up with you, cool kid? You're a bloody coward on heights?! Wahaha! Scaredycat? Woops! My bad" the fat bald boy told me as I started crying. Bakit ba ang harsh nila sakin? I just wanna play!! Tapos ngayon iniinsulto nila ang phobia ko sa heights?! I hate them!

"Get your filthy dirty hands off her you big fat pig"

Someone familiar said nang dahilan ng pagtingala ko sa kanya. My face brighten "Keneth!" I said to him in amazement. He smiled at me but bigla siyang sinuntok nung lalake. Agad ko naman siyang tinulungan sa pagkasubsob niya. Dumugo yung gilid ng bibig niya, then, I started feeling this weird feeling inside me, there is like heat inside me. Walang malay kong nilingon ang lalakeng sumuntok kay Keneth and in split seconds, my fist was heading straight to the big fat boy's face then BOOM! I punched him! Napasubsob siya sa sahig at dali-daling umalis.

I was breathing hard. Amazed of what I just did. "Whoa". I heard Keneth from behind me. He was surprised and shocked. "That went well" he said to me and I smiled.

Agad akong napapikit ng mariin sa natandaan ko. Childhood memories. Nung hindi pa ako naamnesia.

"Xyla, ayos ka lang?" I heard Chloe. She smiled at me and said "Naaalala mo na naman?" I nodded at her.

Nasa bus kami ngayon papunta sa isang beach resort. Sabi ni Ms Ong, for the last day sa camp itre-treat niya kami sa isang one night dito sa isang beach resort.

"Xyla, okay lang ba sayo na tabihan ka ni DA ONE?" Sambit ni Chloe na dahilan ng pagkunot ng noo ko. "The One?" Tanong ko sa kanya. She giggled. "Him" she said and pointed the back seat just three seats away from us. Nilingon ko ang pin-oint niya and I saw Rowan. When our eyes met he winked at me that made me stayed back to my seat.

"No, Chloe don't. I don't wanna sit beside him, besides, hindi tayo pwede magchange seats, remember?" I said to stop her but she grinned evily. Oh boy.

"Let's see....Can I be a rebel for just ten whole minutes? Bye" she said and grabbed her backpack then exchanged seats with Rowan. I scoffed eyeing him walk towards me.

"Can I sit beside you?" he asked. I can feel his smirk Kahit nakatingin ako sa bintana.

"Go ahead." I muttered. I felt him sit beside me and fastening his seatbelt nung biglang tumagilid yung bus that shocked us all. Mabilis ang pangyayari but in split seconds I saw an arm against the window across my face. Lumingon ako to see who owned it and saw Rowan's face an inch away from me. We stared at each other for seconds nung nabaling sa normal yung bus. Inalis ni Rowan yung kamay niya sa bintana and positioned himself. I heard him cleared his throat.

Katahimikan ang bumalut saming dalawa when I felt a thing touched my hand. Agad namang nabaling ang tingin ko sa kamay ko and saw a hand latched to eat. I hesitantly looked at Rowan and he was looking at me too. "It's the first time I hold your hand without you hesitating." he said and smiled. Agad naman ako napatingin sa ibang direksyon dahil sa pamumula ng pisngi ko. Ghaaad! Ba't ba ang galing niyang magpakilig? He intertwined his fingers to mine that made me blushed even harder. Nakaramdam ako ng mabigat sa balikat ko that gave me the urge para lingonin siya. His really cute when his sleeping, adorable I must say. No wonder maraming nagkakagusto sa kanya. Even I was caught.

Ilang minuto palang ang nakalipas ay malapit na kaming makarating. Sinubukan kong gisingin si Rowan dahil nakalabas na silang lahat pati ang driver. Kami nalang dalawa ang natira dito. Tumayo ako para kunin ang bag ko sa luggage compartment sa taas ng seat namin. Pinahiga ko muna siya sa upuan ko. Nung makuha ko na ang mga gamit namin ay nabaling ako sa kanya. Tinapik ko yung pisngi niya peeo hindi parin nagising. Tinapik ko yung bulsa ko para kunin yung player at earphones ko pero..---Wait---diba, nasa bulsa ko lang yun. Nakita ko yung player at earphones ko sa likod ng uluhan ni Rowan. I sighed and was about to get my player nung biglang may humila sakin papalapit sa mukha niya. Nanlaki agad ang mata ko when I saw Rowan's face just an inch away from me.

"Hmm.." ungol niya kahit nakapikit. "Xy..la..I love you.." he whispered enough for me to hear. Namula agad ako. Mas lalo niya ako hinila papalapit sa kanya but I kept my distance. He slowly opened his eyes. I really love the color of his eyes. It's someone sparkly in a way. Mas nabigla ako when he latched his lips against mine. Bumitaw siya and hugged me. Binaun niya ang mukha ko sa gilid ng mukha niya. "Buti hindi mo ako iniwanan." I could feel him smile. "Don't leave me just like my parents did..please" he begged. I took the courage to face him.

"I won't leave you." I assured him and he smiled. "But first, bumangon ka na." I said.

"For one contdition." he said that made me roll my eyes.

"Spill it." I said. He sat down and leaned towards my ear.

"Kiss me." sabi niya sabay kissy lips. "On. The. Lips." he said and smirked.

"Pag-ayaw ko?"

"Hindi ako aalis dito sa bus kahit anong sabihin mo." sabi niya.

"Seriously? Ayoko nga diba?"

"Bahala ka hindi ako tatayo. Dito lang ako Hangga't sa mag-umaga. Magugutom ako, madadala ako sa ospital, nakoooooo Xyla.." Sabi niya. NANGONGONSENSYA BA SIYA?! WELL, KUNG OO, NAKOKONSENSYA NA AKO!

"Aigoo.. ayoko." I said. Psh! Bahala siya jan. Bumaba na ako sa bus and waited for him. But I've been waiting for like 10 minutes pero hindi parin siya bumababa. UGH! Seneseryoso niya yata ang sinabi niya. Bumalik ako sa bus and he sat there.

"What? You realized you can't live without me?" he said smiling.

Ugh Rowan Klent Lim. Kung hindi lang talaga kita mahal. I leaned closer to him and kissed him just for a split seconds then I separated. He was shocked. "Akala ko hindi mo na gagawin yun?.." he said then smiled "But you still did" he added and stood up then grab his bag. "Buti mahal mo ako." he said and that made me roll my eyes. He again, intertwined his fingers to mine and we walked hand in hand to the tents.

Madaling bumaba ang araw at nakatulog narin ang lahat ng classmates ko, maliban lang siguro sakin. Nakaupo ako dito sa buhangin habbang nakatingin sa buwan. It's a good week for me and the camp. Bukas babalik na kami sa sarili naming bahay and we have two days para magpahinga.

"Hey, partner!"

Napalingon ako sa nagsalita. Partner?. It's Rowan by the way. Tumabi siya sakin and leaned his head to my shoulder. "Ba't ba para kang black hole?." sabi ni Rowan sakin.Agad naman akong napatingin sa kanya. Surprised.

"What?" I said and he smiled at that.

"Hinigit mo ako papunta sayo eh" he said and smiled. His too cute to handle, too hot to handle, and too perfect.
