You are in the same year as the twins (Goblet of fire so their 6th year I think but tell me if I'm wrong)

-Reader's POV-

I wondered round the corridors looking for the twins. 'Probably doing a prank again or something,' I thought to myself. I suddenly thought about the upcoming Yule Ball and realised I still had no one to go with. I would like to go with Fred, I've liked him for quite some time now.

I was so deep in thought that I didn't feel the presence of the twins behind me. They jumped me and laughed when I gasped out of surprise and shock.

"Don't do that!" I said as I playfully hit their arms.

"You're reactions are so funny," George said.

"That we couldn't help ourselves," Fred finished giving me a grin. I blushed and looked another way.

"Hey (Y/n)? Has anyone asked you to the Ball yet?" George asked.

"No, I wasn't really planning on going. I would like to go with someone but I'm too shy to ask and I'm scared of being rejected," I said scratching my temple.

"Aw, c'mon (Y/n)! Who would reject you? You're kind, pretty and funny," Fred said, making me blush.

"Nah, I'll just stay in my dorm," I said.

Fred seemed a little disappointed for some reason and George was grinning like an idiot.

*Timeskip*

The twins and I were in Potions. I held my head in my hand and yawned. Snape's monotonous voice was starting to bore me. A piece of parchment was handed to me and I frowned. I picked it up and opened it.

Hey (Y/n)

I was wondering if you would want to go to the Yule Ball with me. Tell me your answer in the Astronomy Tower tonight at 7.

Your Secret Admirer

My eyes widened. I could finally go to the Yule Ball but... I guess it all depends on who the person is. A part of me was hoping it was Fred.

*Timeskip to Astronomy Tower at 7*

I finally got to the top of the winding stairs and looked around. I saw a figure on the balcony looking over the view. I coughed a bit to get their attention. They spun round surprised.

It was Fred.

My heart skipped a beat and I blushed. He was blushing too?

"So, uh Fred, it was you who sent the letter?" I said awkwardly. He just nodded.

"So? What is your answer?" He sounded very hopeful.

"O-of course I will," I stuttered out of excitement.

"Why did you stutter?" He asked.

"Because I've liked you for so long and now I know you must return my feelings," I said breathing hard. I couldn't believe this was happening.

"Wait so the guy you were talking about... Who you had a crush on... Was me?" He asked again.

"Mhmmm," I hummed looking at the ground. I heard footsteps and realised he was coming toward me. He placed his hands on my warm cheeks and made me look at him. He looked into my eyes before leaning down and kissed me. A sweet and passionate one. When we finally pulled away we touched foreheads and gazed into each others eyes and smiled.

"I love you (Y/n/n)," he said.

"I love you too Freddie," I replied.
