"Hey You there ! How dare you stalk my daughter !" exclaimed the stocky man with a rough beard and a voice that would frighten even the toughest young men in the neighborhood.
"Me? What did I do?" asked Martin Hendricks the 8th grader who was as brilliant a boy could be and known by pretty much everyone except the angry man who didn't seem to care about anything but his daughter.
He burst out on the young lad "Don't you dare talk to my daughter
again.If I catch you sneaking up on her ever again I'll literally knock..."
"Stop dad! He's not the guy who stalks me." Amanda told her dad reassuringly. Amanda Dawson thirteen year old girl who was good in studies but nothing else.She cleared everything out with her dad and it popped out that the stalker was not Martin but another guy named Jason Detroit from her class who was probably absent thay day. "Son,I'm really Sorry for the misunderstanding but tell that son of a b***h to be in his limits next time!" said Amanda's dad angrily. "It's okay sire its not your fault. I'll talk to Jason about this." assured Martin.
The next day Jason apologized " Hey man look I'm really sorry I set you up before her dad ! I know it doesn't make sense but I'm really sorry and I'd like to be your friend."Martin was pretty shocked by his admission but boy he did agree to be his friend.
Last day of 8th grade and they still didn't interact much.The last bell rung and Jason approached Martin "Let me buy you a coke."They both bonded over the coke and enmity washed away at least they thought so.
Jason clarifies"Me and my friends called her dad and impersonated you so that he thinks you were the one stalking Amanda and not me! But now I realize I did so much wrong and I'll do anything to make amends."Martin in his usual calm demeanor told him "Just be my friend.Its more than enough for me."
The thing is Jason had a crush on Amanda Dawson the geeky girl for almost 3 years and when he tried to approach her she took it very seriously and told her dad about his action.So he planned an escape route in the form of framing Martin and getting away with everything. But at the moment everything was alright or at least for now.The Coke was almost finished and so was their little chit chat.Both bade their goodbyes only to meet after a month of summer holidays.
