Purpose

Wouldn't hurt

I woke up this morning and got ready I went to my parents home. I walked in I saw my younger brother knocked on the couch and my oldest brother Q was about to mess with him. I shook my head and continued to walk to my destination. I walked right into the dinning room and kissed my mother and father cheek. I said good morning to everyone and I went and washed my hands. When I came back they started singing Happy Birthday to me

"Thank you all" I said as I sat down

"So lil sis what do you have planned for the day?" Q asked

"When I leave here I'll probably go home and sleep. Well that's what I want to do but I don't think kassidy would let me do that right Kas?"

"Glad you know sis but actually. Something came up last minute"

I looked at Kas

"Haha real funny"

"No mommy got me a last minute client. So everything I had planned for us to do today will be postponed. Sorry sis"

I looked between my mother and Kas and I shook my head. I was no longer was hungry and didn't want to be around them anymore

"Thanks for breakfast but I just remembered I need to take care of something".

I didn't wait to hear anyone comment so I left. I drove to my grandmother house.

"Grandma" I said as I walked through her house looking for her.

I saw my grandfather coming out her room. I shook my head.

"Grandpa does Uncle Riz and my dad know about this?"

"Nope and they better not find out. Happy Birthday baby" He said as he hugged me

He tried to kiss my forehead but I moved in just enough time. He looked at me

"Don't know where your lips been at and I honestly don't want to know"

He smirked and handed me a box and a bag

"Oh you shouldn't have old man"
As soon as the words left my mouth he tried to take my gifts back. He hugged me again and left before anyone else came over. I mean it was 7:30 on a Tuesday morning.

My grandma came out her room with a smile on her face. I just shook my head and kept my comment to myself. My grandparents weren't fooling anyone. They put on an act for everyone else making it seem like they hate each other but in reality they are messing around and I'm the only one that knows.

"How is your day so far baby"

"Not so well, Kas has work but I feel like her and ma are lying."

"Jaze it's not all about you baby. Maybe she really does have work. She does have to make a living"

"You are right but she always plans out my bday since I can remember"

"How about you make your own plans this year. You aren't getting younger"

"I know women. I'm getting older and it doesn't seem real"

"How about a lunch date?"

"That sounds good but with who?'

"How about that child silver?'

"Grandma who is silver?"

"Oh yea he not born yet. Umm what's that child name Sky. No that's not it. Oh Stephen that's it Stephen?"

"Grandma what  and how do you know about him?"

"I met him at your graduation. He is a good young man"

"Grandma are you ok. He wasn't there, we didn't go to the same school."

"I know this he went to see you cross that stage"

"Ok grandma you aren't making sense so I'm going to go. Hope you take your medicine"

I grabbed my things and left. I went home and took a nap.  I woke up an hour later and it was only 10 am. I grabbed my phone and clicked on a thread that I never responded to. I ended up calling the number

" Hello Jaze?'

"Hi Stephen can we do lunch today?"

"Yea no problem"

I ended up giving him the place I wanted to meet up at and the time.

A little lunch date wouldn't hurt right?
