[Blackstar's POV]

It's been six hours since I woke up on (y/n)'s bed.

And I already hate it.

Yeah, sure, I'm sleeping next to a princess. (I'm really lucky, though.) But... I feel like I'm going to die of boredom.

It's around two in the afternoon. (y/n)'s sitting here with me, although she's reading some novel book. Me ? I'm reading Tsubaki's diary.

Is there a monster around ? Hey, you can show up now. I'd be glad, I swear. At least I'd have to do something !

...

Nothing.

Gah.

"How can you keep up with this ? You sit here all day, for the rest of your life ? What the hell ? How are you not bored ? How can you stay sane, confined in this large room ?"

"I'm used to it." (y/n) responded, laughing slightly. "I know you're not. You're a free spirit. But... It's your fault to be stuck here, anyway. You damaged your feet."

"Excuse me ? I can walk around even with these. It'll hurt, but I can walk. Don't talk like I'm crippled forever." He grumbled, leaning against the bedframe. "

"Eh... I don't want you hurt." (y/n) turned to me, and grinned. "So take your time to heal up. You're lucky you got me as your princess---most royalties send their knights to battle even if they have numerous wounds."

I stared down at her, silent. Hell yeah, I'm really taking my time. I mean... She's really gorgeous. At this moment, I don't care if I'm staring for too long. I enjoy staring at those sparkling eyes. The way she does things---clumsily or not. Her gentleness, her grace. Her smile. Yes. That's my favorite. Specially when she laughs... I understand why Tsubaki was ready to die for her, and why she did.

I'd do my best to protect her myself, even with my life, too.

...You can tell her I said that. She won't even believe you.

"Right." I smiled slightly, deciding to bring a hand to her head, and mess up her hair. Her crown's on her nightstand, because who the hell wears their crown at home ?

I don't know. Maybe the king or queen, but whatever.

"Hey ! That's really rude---I just combed up my hair !" She huffed, swatting my hand away. "Meanbag."

"Aww." I chuckled, turning back to the diary. "Just comb it again. I don't really get why you girls let your hair grow that long. Then be pissed if you have to comb it."

"Blackstar ?"

"Hm ?"

"Do you fix your hair before seeing me each morning ?"

"...Yeah. But I woke up beside you today, so what's the point ?"

Soon, I felt two soft hands on my head. "I want payback !" Then, she grinned, starting to ruffle my hair.

...Oh. That feels nice.

I turned back to her, watching her struggle. Hey, I'm taller. Even if we're both sitting next to each other.

I did my best not to laugh. She looks so cute.

"...Aren't you bothered ?" She soon slowed down, staring at me, while all I did was shrug. "My hair was already messy in the first place. Why bother ?" I grinned down at her, and poked her nose. "Your hands are soft, by the way."

Her face grew red and she quickly pulled away. "S-shut up !" She said, and quickly grabbed her book again, deciding to read to avoid my gaze. This time I can't help but to laugh.

"Amazing. You can read upside-down ?"

She gasped, and quickly turned the book around, grumbling. "Shut up !" She yelled again.

I decided not to mess with her this time. So I only shrugged. "Alright."

I looked back down on the diary. I've been reading this for an hour now, since I was too lazy earlier... But up until now, this diary only said things about what they did everyday.

They must've been really best friends...

I flipped a page, and... Saw a red bookmark. With a handwriting... It was hard to read---mainly because it wasn't a language I... Wait...

I kept the page, and stared at the bookmark.

It's in Einean. Our language.

"Warning."

"Oh, you're going to try and read that ?" (y/n) shrugged. "That was the only page I didn't understand... Sadly enough, the language is unknown. Maybe it died long ago. I've researched."

Einean is rarely used now. It was famous around a century ago---around where my great great granfather was still ruling. I didn't learn the language... I was born with the knowledge of it. Father said so.

"We had to teach you modern english starting when you were three. You were fluent in Einean. The last person born like this was my grandfather." Father said, shrugging slightly. "You learned quite fast."

Kid barely knows Einean. Sure, he studied with the remaining books---about five from the thousand there was... And he manages to create sentences and phrases. But me ? I can create a whole story with that language.

...So why is it in this diary ?

I looked down at the diary page. The same language was there, along with the bookmark...

"Warning.

No one would be able to read this... Not accurately, I might add. But if you can... It can only mean one thing.

Stay beside the princess. Never let her out of your sight. I have provided hints in modern english to who Night was... But if you can, understand this, it must only mean my plan had succeeded.

Yami no Hoshi... My little brother. You've come."

That was the end of it. I stared down, bewildered. Yami no Hoshi...

"(y/n), do you know japanese ?"

"Huh ?" She turned to me, and shrugged. "Kinda. Why ?"

"What does Yami no Hoshi mean ?"

(y/n) paused, closing her book. Then, she smiled. "Dark star. It pretty much depends. It can also work as Blackstar I guess... Since dark and black are a bit the same."

I tensed.

"Why ?" She blinked. "It sort of translates as your name..." She frowned, staring at me even more. "You look startled. What's wrong...?"

...If it somehow translates as my name...

"Yami no Hoshi... My little brother."

It can't be.
