Friends

Its been a few hours and Malie,Madlice, and Willow left Kat's house. I sleep on Kat's bed while she sleeps on the floor. I feel really bad ,but I know she wouldn't let me sleep on the floor. No matter how much I told her she could sleep on her bed. I have no romantic feelings for her..but she is really pretty. She kicks the walls in her sleep really hard. How does she not wake up with sore feet?
Her bed is really comfortable. I lay down and eventually fall asleep.

"Lovelyn, Lovelyn, Lovelyn!" Kat's voice wakes me up
"I'm up..I'm up,"
Katrina's long blue hair is tangled her eyes are tired.
"Wanna go do something?"
"Like what?" I ask
"What about the special place you always talk about?"
"Kat..no.."
"Alright I know this coffee shop just down the road,"
"Okay.. let's go,"
"Lovelyn go get dressed and brush your hair then we'll go,"
Kat walks over to her closet and picks out her clothes.
I walk into the bathroom with a Leather jacket and jeans. I brush my hair and put it in a loose braid, and put my clothes and shoes on.
I walk into Kat's room . She brushed her hair, and wears a white hood and jeans. She puts sneakers on and we walk outside.
We walk down the streets of the city. It must be around nine in the morning at least. People still stare at me
"Is that Lovelyn?" I hear people whisper.
We arrive at the coffee shop
"Hey Kat I thought you'd never come!," A girl with electric Green eyes, and wild frizzy brown hair stands behind the counter. Her voice is high,and she talks incredible fast
"Yeah Lovelyn I'm kinda a regular here,"
"Kat, you come everyday!" The girl says "I assume that's the Lovelyn girl you always talk about,"
"Hi I'm Lovelyn it's a pleasure to meet you," I hold out my hand for her. She grabs my hand and shakes it violently.
"May I ask your name,"
"Depends who's askin'?"
"Uh.."
"I'm just playin' the names Spritz,"
She's a real ball of energy.
"I'll get you and Kat some coffee, Now tell me are ya'll a couple?"
"N-no!" I say
"I'm just playin' calm down kid,"
She bounces over to the coffee machines and looks back at us "Ya'll want it iced or regular?"
"Regular," Kat says
"Um..iced,"
"Alrighty it'll be done in a minute or two!" She walks to a machine I've never seen before. He puts brown beans into it. She presses a button.
She looks as if she can't stay still long enough to make the drink. She stretches her neck and legs.
"Kat, is she always like this?"
"Yeah she drinks alot of coffee and eats so much sugar,"
"How much sugar?"
"You wouldn't believe me if I told you,"
"Here's ya'lls coffee. Kat, don't get in trouble without me ya' hear," Spritz hand us our coffee she looks around and "Nice meeting ya! By the way never let people tell you fairytales aren't real. I drink a magic potion made of magic beans that keeps me alive,"
"I hear you Spritz,"
"Uh..thanks,"
"No problem kid," Spritz says
We walk out of the coffee shop. Im reluctant to give coffee a try it doesn't ..look or smell just right but Kat did get it for me ,so I kinda have to try it. I take a few small sips.
"You look suprised Love,"
"Yeah I just never had coffee before,"
"Do you like it?"
"Yeah,"
About an hour passes and we decide to go back to the house.
We walk into the house and Yumi greets us.
"Hey you two! I'm baking a pie! Sit tight and it'll be done in a few minutes,"
"What type?" Kat asks
"Butterscotch-Cinnamon,"
"Nice," Kat and I walk upstairs to her room
"Butterscotch cinnamon pie?" I ask
"Yeah my moms grew up with a game and eventually made a type of pie after it,"
"Your moms make alot of sweets,"
"Yeah we do, We have a family recipe book actually. It weighs like seventy pounds,"
"Really?"
"Yeah, really,"
"Wow,"
"Katrina! Lovelyn! The pie is done!"

It's been another night....my mom isn't searching for me..I'm glad, while I've been with Katrina I've been happier than I ever had been previously. I have no doubt she'll look for me eventually,but until then I'll try to relax and calm down a little.
I can't sleep..at all...my mind is flooded with thoughts ,what do I do when mother comes for me? Will she kill me? Beat me? I'm not sure..but all I know is Kat will be there for me. If I die..Kat will tell my story, no matter what happens.
I get up and look around Kat's room. She has a picture of a few friends. They all look so happy Kat,Madlice,Malie,Willow, Spritz, and some two other girls I don't know.
Huh? Spritz looks surprisingly human-like. Humans died out thousands of years ago. Could she be a human!? No, that's impossible maybe she's a ghoul,or a Siren, or maybe a witch? She can't be human. If she was scientists would go crazy after her.
I put the picture back ,and go back to bed.
"Lovelyn, Lovelyn!"
"Y...yeah Kat.."
"Get up! It's the afternoon,"
"I-It is!"
Kat's already dressed
"Get dressed in want you to meet some special friends of mine!"
I rush to the bathroom and put the silk dress on and sloppily braid my hair.
"I'm ready lets go!"
"Alright Love lets get going,"
Kat leads me down a dark forest. The light slowly dissappears behind us. I used to have nightmares of places like this.
"A-are we going the right way Kat?"
"Yeah I've been here hundreds of times,"
"Alright if you're sure,"
The woods are getting really dark. I can barely see. The small shimmers of light from the leaves is the only thing allowing me to see. I grab Kat's wrist so I don't get lost.
I see two square lights off in the distance. We walk closer to them. I'm just a touch scared right now. The lights get brighter.
Finally we see a house in the distance. Rose plants surround the house exept for the entrance to the door.
We walk up to it slowly. The house is made completely of wood with two windows.
"Love, listen before we get any closer let me tell you something. My friend is VERY shy so don't be too crazy with her,"
"I won't,"
We walk up to the door. Kat knocks on the door and few times.

Author Note: Another short chapter! I know it sucks but I don't want to waste much time with the first chapters (chapters 2-4) And also I'm just really REALLY lazy. Hope you like the book so far!
