I waited in my room for my maid Mira to finish picking out a dress for me to wear. I never know the correct dresses for any event so I just let her choose them out for me.

"How about this one?" She asked, coming out of my large closet with a big orange dress with layers and layers of fabric underneath the skirt portion to make it poofy.

"Nah. Too big and I'm not really in the mood for orange." I replied, taking the rose out of my hair and looking at it.

"Do I have any dresses with this color?" I questioned, showing Mira the rose.

Without answering she scurried back into the closet. Not even a minute later she came out with a simple light pink dress. It had white lace around the waist part and embroidered white flowers at the bottom.

"Perfect!" I chirped, taking the dress from her. I ran into the changing room and put it on.

"I didn't even know I had a dress like this! It's really comfortable," I called out to Mira who just giggled lightly.

I came out and spun around a few times.
"I love it!" I hummed, staring down at the dress.

"I'm glad," My wonderful maid said.
"But now you must go to the study or you will be late. Here are your shoes and let me help you with that." Mira said gently picking up the rose from my hand and putting it in my hair.

"Thanks Mira! Oh and I don't need my shoes."
I said running out my bedroom door.

I hurry down the hall. It was 8:55, giving me only five minutes to make it up stairs and to the study. I raced through the hall dodging anyone that was passing through.

"Excuse me-sorry" I would say to mostly everyone I passed. Then they would say something like,
"Princess." Or "no, no it was me."

Finally I was on the second story racing threw the halls with my bare feet and winded hair. My dress wasn't in the best condition but it still looked fine to me.

Finally I slowed down to a simple walk when the study door was near. The study entryway was open half way. I peaked in to see my beautiful mother, Lucy Heartfilia Dragneel the first. She was wearing her long dark pink lounging dress, which is like the dress I was wearing but way more elegant.

She was sitting at a small white table. It was her favorite tea table that we always had tea at when I was little.

I straightened my dress and moved the hair out of my face before I walked in.

"Hello, my dear. Please sit," My mother told me with a smile. I sat down at the little white table with her as she began to pour me some tea.

"You're late." I heard a deep voice say behind me. I turned in my chair, it was my father. Natsu Dragneel, ruler of the fire kingdom.

He was sitting at another table with many papers spread out over it. He was drinking tea, mostly likely given to him by my mother before I came.

"I'm not perfect." I grumbled.

"And I'm aware of that." He said, standing up and walking over to the window about ten paces behind my mother.

"Sugar?" My mother asked me.

"Sure, thank you." I said, smiling at her.

"Nashi, do you know why you are here?" My father asked me, still looking out the window, tea in hand.

"I'm a princess and princesses live in castles." I replied in a monotone way like I was reading it straight from a book.

"No, not that. Do you know why you were invited to the study?"

"Uh. . . no. I don't." I said taking another sip of tea.

"You are here because your mother and I have something important to tell you." My father said, turning to face me.

"And what would that be?" I asked, looking back and forth from my mother to my father.
