I week or so after my little war with Jackson, he...he asked me out. I was so surprised, I thought he didn't like me. No one really knew about us untill, Joanna took his phone and read his texts to me, then it spread like wildfire from there on. "Joanna why couldn't you just keep quiet about it." I confronted her, "I couldn't help it Emma got it outta me, she said she'll tell people my secret." she said looking at me with apologetic face, "Hi Summer." I heard Jackson say behind me, "Oh, hi Jackson." I turn and felt extremely nervous. "You ok? You look a little pale" he said with a curious look, "No I'm good just cold, I kinda go pale when I get cold." I said lying to his face though I told myself I wouldn't. "Ok, well I see you lunch I guess. Bye." he said and turning around and walking to his class. "I'm gonna go too. Bye Summer." Joanna said as she disappeared through the crowd, "Hey, Summer how's it going?" Mac asked me, "Ok I guess?" I questioned myself on that,
"Ok, has Jackson asked you to the prom yet?" he asked opening his locker, "No, why is gonna ask?" I asked with curiosity, "I don't know, I just asked." he said looking nervous, "He is gonna ask me ain't he?" I said kicking my locker shut. "Maybe?" he said with a childish grin.
"Hey Summer!" I heard Emma yell over the crowd, she came closer
"Hi, Em." I said as she caught up to me in the parking lot, "Hey you got asked to prom yet?" she asked unlocking her truck. "No, have you?" I said throwing my bag my in the passenger seat. "No. Well gotta go see you later." she said waving goodbye then driving off.
"Summer, I have a favor to ask." Jackson said walking toward me, "Happy to help, what is it you need?" I asked shutting my door, "Um..can you give me a ride home my truck won't start, and I can't get ahold of my brother." he said looking back to his truck, "Yeah sure, hop in." I said getting in my seat.
"Hey wanna go out on the trail with me?" I asked Jackson as I turned off the truck, "Yeah, but can I ride Max?" he asked getting out. "Yeah, sure I'll ride Bluebell." I said closing my door.
"Well let's go."
We saddled up and took off my mom wasn't home so I didn't have to ask.
"Hey, Jackson would you ever kiss me?" I asked, "Yeah I would, would you ever kiss me?" he asked, I was happy of his response, "Yes I would." I said looking up into his bright blue eyes, getting lost in them. "When?" he asked picking up a rock and throwing it in the creek,
"I don't know?" I said looking away from him as I blushed, "How about now?" he said, the he kissed me not letting me answer, my first kiss I thought it was wonderful, I was both happy and excited. he pulled back and looked at me, I was getting lost in his eyes again but I didn't care. "You didn't really give a change did you?" I said blushing again,
"Because I was afraid of what you'd say, so I just took a chance." he said,
"I love you Summer, don't you forgot that." he said hugging me and kissed my forehead. "I love you too."
