*Jess's POV*
I headed back to my booth and sat there watching her car pull out onto the road.
Where was she going?
Should I be with her?
What did she really want to say?
I sat there for a minute before I realized Caroline was talking.
"Huh I'm sorry what was that?" I asked.
"I was just asking who was that"
I shrugged, "oh it was just my ex"
"Oh" she sat back in her seat.
"Look I know this is awful but-"
"You won't be the first girl to leave me at a restaurant and you won't be the last" she grinned.
"I'm so sorry I promise I will call you tonight I just need to check on her" I kissed her on the cheek then ran out of the restaurant.
She had already left.
I took a bus to her block then jogged down the road to her house.
It was like a movie.
The girl run downs the block with the summer breeze blowing through her hair and she ran up the stairs to her lovers door and knocked. When she opened the door the girl flung herself onto her and kissed her passionately.
I was at her house. I walked up the stairs and knocked on the door.
I was ready to hug her but her sister opened the door.
"What do you want?" She asked.
"Is Danni here?"
She squinted at me "She's upstairs"
I ran up the stairs to Danni's room.
She was sitting at her desk.
She jumped up when she saw me, "I thought you had a date?"
"Shut up" I wrapped my arms around her and kissed. She kissed me back and closed her door and we fell back onto her bed.
I never did get around to calling Caroline that night.
