Echoes Of Silence (Itachi Love Story)

chapter six

I couldn't sleep at all last night since I was thinking about what itachi said. What did he mean exactly when he said that he wanted to spend time with me? His signals are all mixed up that I can't even tell if he likes me or not. I remember that last time we shared a bed he cuddled with me but not last night, last night was different. He didn't even come close to where I was, avoiding having to touch me. I'll just try my best to show him how I feel.

"Itachi..you don't have to keep bandaging my ankle I feel fine now. I know I can walk on it already." Once I said that he started to chuckle..

"You remind me of myself when I sprained my ankle using my sharingan for the first time in combat. My friend carried me home but I insisted that I didn't need help. He was like a big brother to me."

"Sounds like he really cared about you. Um..does that mean you feel the same way about me?... You know as in you also care for. ..me?"

"Yeah...I care about you alot actually."

It was kind of quiet for awhile. It was the first time Itachi talked about his feelings to me and I couldn't help but try and learn more. I want to know what he feels and I want him to know how I feel as well, but I don't know how.

Apparently there was some sort of festival going on and I thought it was a great idea to go. Itachi and I decided to walk around and eat a few snacks. Who knew he really enjoyed sweets. I liked playing some of the games they had around. But the thing I really wanted to do was watch the fireworks with him. Maybe I could get the courage to tell him how I feel. I think that getting close to him while gazing at the fireworks could create a romantic atmosphere that I desperately need.

The time was almost here for the fireworks. Itachi was getting some dangos for us to share. But I couldn't ignore this unpleasant atmosphere. It felt like I was being watched so I used my byakugan and there they were. Two familiar cloaks and it looked like they were looking for someone. More likely me and Itachi, he said that there was never a mission assigned to us so they must think that we ditched the group. Pein probably ordered them to eliminate us since they see us as traitors. I needed to look for Itachi but I couldn't detect him. Seems like he got the memo and fled this area. My best guess was that he went to hide in the forest so I went there quickly without grabbing any attention towards myself. As I walked around for awhile my ankle was kind of starting to bother me. I didn't want to admit it but it was so I sat under a tree to rest.

I woke up and realized it was morning. I didn't find Itachi yet but I don't remember sleeping with this blanket. It must have been itachi so I got up and tried to look for him. I was sort of thirsty so I was glad to hear a waterfall nearby. Once I got to the waterfall I saw him and it seemed like he decided to wash himself in the water. I couldn't help but just stare at his beautiful bare body, he was so hot. He finally noticed me and that made me panic since he probably noticed that I was gazing at him.

"I'm so sorry I interrupted you, I better go-" *splash* I fell inside the water and I was so embarrassed yet again. Itachi got closer to me to see if I was okay but then something happened. There was a moment of silence but it wasn't the normal kind of silence, it was accompanied by this strong sensation between us. He cupped my face and immediately broke the space between us. His soft lips, the way he grabbed my hair and the way he pulled me in closer to him, it was something I wanted to happen for a long time. I couldn't believe it was happening and then he ended the kiss.

"I apologize, I couldn't control myself around you. I was glad to see that you were okay."

We were both red in the face and couldn't look each other in the eyes. I didn't like that he was apologizing because that's what I also wanted. I didn't know how to tell him that but- "Itachi you don't have to apologize for something like that..." I didn't know what else to say but that's all that came out of my mouth. I still couldn't look at him in the eyes but I could tell he was smiling.

"I'm kinda glad you said that since I was hoping to get to do that more in the future."

He grabbed my face to look at him in the eyes while he said that. It made my face red and I couldn't stop blushing.

"Why..are you looking at me like that?"

"I just think that you have such a beautiful face."

He had a way of making me feel nervous around him. He was so charming, I didn't think that he had that side to him. I wonder what could happen in the near future.

*cough cough*

Itachi coughed in his hands and I saw a bit of blood come out.

"Are you okay!?"

"It's nothing really don't worry about me."

"Are you sure? There was blood!"

"I'm fine don't worry."
