One sip and I put the glass down
In the dark not even a match makes a flame
I seem to have forgotten my crownI'm everyone's favorite noun
Yet I can't even remember a name
One sip and I put the glass downI've nowhere to go walking aimlessly around
Yet my picture is in everyones frame
I seem to have forgotten my crownI have to be perfect not a clown
It will always be the same
One sip and I put the glass downI'm a friendly face to everyone in town
What's a lie to people society has sought to tame
I seem to have forgotten my crownNothing is new, always a smile, and never a frown
In the darkness I can see that you came
One sip and I put the glass down
I seem to have forgotten my crown

PoetryJust a compilation of my thoughts through poetry. Hopefully a song to match every poem. And maybe get someone through the day. It's a little sloppy but it's me.
