Chapter Twenty Eight: Crystal Rivers High School

Start from the beginning

We had some of the best players.

"Everyone! Get into your positions!" Coach shouted. "Three. Two. One. Go!"

We all ran into the middle to grab the balls. I got two and passed one to Mika.

I accidentally bumped into Aidan and when I said sorry, I heard a girl near us hiss at me.

We took out five of the opposing team members in two minutes.

"Alecxis! Pass!" Aidan called.

I passed Aidan a ball, earning myself a glare from the head cheerleader, Samantha.

The game ended and we won.

"High five!" Mika cheered.

"High five." I said, giving my best friend a high five.

I had one more class until it was finally home time.

~~~~
"Cya tomorrow?" Mika asked as we walked out of the school grounds.
"Cya tomorrow." I confirmed.
"Great! Huh?" Mika peered over my shoulder.
"What?" I questioned, my eyes darting to where Mika was looking.
"He's looking at you Alecxis." my best friend cooed.
"No. He's not." I said, picking up the pace.
Myself and Aidan go different directions to throw people off. We meet up a a small park that's far enough for us not to be followed and we go home together from there.
"Alecxis! Wait up!" Mika was running just to catch up with my walking pace.
"Cya you later Mika!" I called, running off.
I managed to lose Mika by twisting through the streets, or she gave up. I came to the park and waited. I was early so I was expecting to wait for maybe ten minutes.
-Aidan's P.O.V.-
I looked at my watch.
I should be going now...
"Samantha, can you let go of me?" I asked in an irritated tone.
I was pissed at her because I heard what herself and her friends said about my sister. Or Alecxis Anderson. Anyway point is, since this never happened before, I'm not going to let it start now.
"Do I have to?"
"Yes."
She sighed but let go.
I raced off but slowed once I was out of sight and earshot.
"Stupid girl.." I muttered.
If anyone at the school knew who myself and Alecxis were and what kind of power we possessed, they'd freak. Humans tended to try and kill what they can't understand and fear.
I glanced at my watch. I was so late. Alecxis would've gone home by now as school had ended over half and hour ago.
"Looks like I'm walking home alone today."
~~~~

I got home and was about to open the door when someone else beat me to it.

"Where were you twenty minutes ago?!" Alecxis asked angrily.

"I was dealing with Samantha." I replied.

"Well, next time give me a heads up if you're gunna be that late. I waited for twenty five in the park then gave up. I thought you were kidnapped but then I realized, who could kidnap you?" a small smile appeared on her face. "Come on then."

I stepped inside the hallway.

"Sorry Alecxis. I would've but I had to do something." I told my younger sister.

"What was it? What was so important that you decided it was ok to ditch me?"

"Alecxis. I did't mean to leave you hanging like that-"

"But you did."

"Let me finish."

"Then finish."

"Ok." I explained what I was doing and why to her.

"Oh god. Don't go yandere on me just because of some girls whispering mean things about me." Alecxis shook her head.

"I won't. I promise." I said.

"Good. I don't want to come home to see my brother covered  in blood of a victim."

"You've been reading too much of that stuff since we came here." I told her.

"What? There's nothing else to do here. I mean, hanging out with friend IS an option but no one's free these days."

"Alright. Whatever you say. Now, I have homework to do so call me when dinner's ready." I said, walking over to the stairs.

"That's your job!"

"Not anymore." I ran upstairs before Alecxis could protest.
