Your POV

My heart raced in my chest, and butterflies danced in my stomach as I paced back and fourth.

"Calm down, everything will be fine," Leia said to me.

"I know... It's just I can't help but feel anxious," I said, stopping my pacing and turning to look at her.

We were standing in a small room in the rebel base on Takodana. The base was newly formed, and the lush scenery surrounding it was beautiful. Leia cleared her throat, and I returned my attention to her. She was holding two clips in her hands.

"Turn around," she said, and I did so.

I felt her hands brush through my hair that had been curled.

"This one looks better..." she murmured to herself.

I couldn't help but laugh. All day Leia had been helping me get ready for my wedding. Han and Luke were taking care of the venue, they just told me to take my time getting ready. So I did so, but not being there and seeing everything going on made me feel strange. I knew all of the decorations they were putting up, but I couldn't help but feel like something was going to go wrong.

"Would you stop stressing?" Leia asked impatiently.

"Sorry," I murmured.

Today was my day after all, and I just had to believe that everything would be perfect. Deep down I already knew that everything would be wonderful, as long as I was with Han.

"How long do we have until Luke gets here?" Leia asked.

I glanced at one of the clocks on the walls, "Two hours."

"Then lets get you in your dress, and add the final touches," Leia said.

I smiled broadly at the thought of my wedding dress, it was everything I wanted it to be. I had picked out the perfect dress, that made me look good, and Han would like it. I let Leia help me put on the beautiful dress, and I couldn't help but admire myself once we got it all the way on.

The white fabric hugged me in all of the places I wanted it to, and the dress flowed with my every movement. I felt like I was living in a fairy tale. After admiring myself for a moment, Leia helped me with the finishing touches. She tied a silver sash around my waist that looked amazing with the patterns, then placed a matching silver tiara in my hair. It felt sort of silly at first, but then I remembered that I was in fact a princess.

"Wait, so you aren't even going to put that clip in my hair?" I asked through a grin.

Leia smiled at me, and touched my tiara ever so slightly.

"No this looks much better."

I smiled, and let her finish all of my final touches gratefully. She fixed everything that needed fixing, tucked things, made me walk around to make sure everything was fine, and then she helped me put my shoes on. By the time we got everything finished I felt relieved, and before I knew it, Luke was knocking on the door.

"Perfect timing," I said through a smile as Leia opened the door.

Luke emerged with a goofy grin on his face, "Are you guys ready to go?"

"We should be," I said, walking towards the two.

Luke took a moment to look at my dress and my hair.

"You look great," Luke said, pulling me into a hug.

"Thank you," I said as we broke apart.

"Let's do it," Leia said, and together we headed outside to the ceremony.

My heart raced in my chest, but I was happy more than anything else. I was about to become the happiest girl in the world.

Han's POV

I never imagined I'd be a guy to settle down, yet here I was walking down the aisle, and I couldn't be happier. I did have to give Luke and I props though, we did pretty damn good with the venue. The trees looked awesome in the background, and I was super happy with (y/n)'s and my decision to use this base. I didn't pay attention to the people around me as I walked to the altar. Yeah I was happy we had friends and comrades to come support us, but my mind was only on one person today.

Once I reached the altar I waited as patiently as I could, but I just wanted to see (y/n). I already knew she would look gorgeous; I just couldn't wait to see her with my own eyes. I looked around me for a moment while I waited. Chewy and Lando stood beside me. Chewy had a simple bow tie on that was extremely hard to convince him to wear, but he was my pal nonetheless. I looked back to the aisle, and noticed Leia walking forward in her bridesmaid dress. She smiled at me, but I wasn't really paying attention to her.

Butterflies had formed in my stomach, because I knew that any second now (y/n) and Luke would emerge through those doors. (Y/n) didn't exactly have a dad left to give her away, so Luke stepped in.

It felt like forever until (y/n) finally emerged through those doors, arm in arm with Luke. My heart skipped a beat, and I smiled so broadly I couldn't feel my cheeks. She looked beautiful to say the least. I couldn't have been more happy that she was my soon to be wife. As she walked to me, my heart swelled, my scoundrel, smuggler heart.

As she finally stopped in front of me, I barely paid attention to what the officiant was saying. My attention was glued to the beautiful smile she gave me. Time seemed to move in slow motion while we said our vows, and agreed to all of the tasks of being married. All I could think about was how happy I was about to become, and how I wanted (y/n) to be mine forever. As the time finally came to say I do, my heart beat in my chest rapidly. This was it this was the moment.

As we uttered those simple words it was like my whole world was changing. As our officiant muttered you may kiss the bride, I grabbed (y/n)'s waist and pulled her close to me. She looped her arms around my neck, and we shared our first kiss as husband and wife.

"I love you," she said to me as we broke apart.

"I love you more," I said.

As applause rang out all around us, I swooped (y/n) off of her feet, and she let out a laugh and leaned into me. Then, I carried my bride bridal style towards our new adventure.

We did it guys, we did it. We made it all the way to the end of this story, and I'm so thankful for you guys that stuck with me.
