Johnny Cade imagine

(A/n, in this imagine, you're a Curtis sibling, but instead of the cliche "Ponyboy's twin, you're a year older than him, and whatnot, this shouldn't throw off the storyline.)

Me and Pony always shared a room, I never really knew why. I always thought Soda should share a room with Ponyboy, I mean, I AM a girl. I should get SOME privacy, especially since Johnnycake and Pony have been hanging out more, leaving me to sleep on the ground, not being able to change, without getting yelled at by Darry. I usually have to sleep in the jeans and shirt I wore that day.

"Hey Pony, Johnny ain't coming today?"
"I don't really know, Y/n" he said taking his nose out of a book for about 2 seconds
"Well, if he does, let me know, I'm planning on joining Steve, and Two-bit here on the couch tonight"
"Will do, Y/n"

Johnny really is one of my best friends, when we AREN'T with the gang, I mean we still hang out and talk around the gang, it would be weird if we didn't, but it's different when we're alone, he tells me everything. Like when he's upset with Pony, or anyone for that matter. But he gets all weird around the gang, like all fidgety, something weird has been going on with Lil Ol' Johnnycake, and it was my plan to figure out what.

"Y/n? Johnny said he doesn't know if he's able to stay for the night, but he's here for now" Pony said grinning, with his arm around Johnny's neck
"Damn Pony, telling your older sister what's good?" Dally smirked, putting emphasis on "older"

"Just so you guys know, if you don't live here, I'm kicking you out."
"But I practically live her-"
"Practically doesn't count Two-bit"
"You're not kicking anyone out, ya got that?" Darry startled me, I forgot HE'S the boss 😒
"Yeah, yeah, I got it"
"You better watch your mouth"
"I CAN'T see my mouth with my eyes, Darry" I said, looking down at my lips, while the gang laughed, Two-bit laughing the hardest
Then I walked out of the house

"Y/n, wait" said someone, it sounded like Johnny, jogging after me
"Nah, you can just meet me there, I'm heading to the lot" I managed to scream out before taking off, grinning at Johnny who was still a few feet behind me
"Man, I give up" he panted, lighting up a cancer stick
"Maybe them cancer sticks are why you gave up so easily" I shouted, then walked away (a/n this next part is soo predictable, I know, but it moves the story along ;))

*3 hours later*
I ran as fast as I could, those stupid socs were chasing me, again, but I lost them when I turned and jumped in mine and Pony's window. I didn't want to risk going into the living room to get yelled at by Darry, and Pony was in the room, so I didn't change, I just went to bed, in my jeans and shirt, what a surprise. I lay on the floor thinking, about socs, The gang. Who's my go-to if I need help? Pony would ignore me, Darry would yell at me. Sods would help me, but he's too obsessed with Sandy to notice me anymore. Dally would help me, but he'd probably be in trouble WITH me. That's when it hit me, I don't really know how, but it did, I think I might like Johnnycake as more than a friend, or even a best friend. I felt my face heat up, I was in the dark, but I was still embarrassed, I shouldn't think of my best friend like that... I started to drift off to sleep...

*about 20 minutes later*
"Y/n, wake up" Ponyboy said urgently
"Whyyy????"
"Johnny needs to talk to you, he's at the window"
Johnny.
"Can't he just come in through the window?"
"He kinda can't right now, Y/n"
I sighed as I got up
There was Johnny, with a bunch of drunk socs behind him, one with a blade pressed sharply against Johnny's neck
"What happened Johnny?"
"I was walking home when a bunch of socs came and said that they wanted to mess me up."
"Since we're feeling a bit nice tonight, if someone decides they care about this little twerp, we'll let him go, if someone LOVES him, more than a friend."
"I mean he said he had a girlfriend"
Girlfriend. The word made tears sting my eyes
"That must be her, that's the only girl this brat hangs out with"
"He dies if you don't claim your boyfriend"
It took me a second to think about the offer these socs made, what if I'm just embarrassing myself, because he has a girlfriend, I wouldn't want to make him cheat
"She's too embarrassed of her own boyfrie-"
"That's my boyfriend, Johnny Cade"
"How do we know you're not just saying that?"
"Yeah, you have to kiss him, so it's not a lie"
These socs, the nerve of them
I walked up to the window and kissed Johnny, and the socs immediately let him go and ran off.
"I guess Johnny's spending the night" I said grinning, and blushing like hell

We all decided to sleep on the floor, to keep eachother safe.

*10 minutes later*
I woke up crying, I dreamt about socs jumping me and Johnny while walking one day, and Johnny was hurt pretty bad, it looked like he would've died

"Johnn- Johnny" I managed to choke out, shaking his arm slightly till he stirred
"Yeah, Y/n?" He whispered, sleep still on his voice
"I'm scared, what if socs jump us, now that they know where we are?"
"They'll forget by morning, they were drunk"
"Johnny?"
"Yeah, Y/n?"
"I have to tell you this, or I wouldn't be able to talk to you again, although you'll probably hate me aft-"
"What is it, Y/n?" His voice was soft, and sweet, like he was still trying to comfort me, instead of sounding agitated
"I'm sorry if I made you cheat on your girlfriend, I did it to save your life, but, I really did like the kiss"
"Y/n... I don't have a girlfriend.."
"Oh, well I did like the kiss, but you probably didn-"
I was cut off by his soft, plump lips
"I liked the kiss too, Y/n. Be my girl?"
"Yeah, I would like that"

Pony started waking up, he rubbed his eyes
"Would like what? Some breakfast, I would like some too please"
"No, Pony, Johnny asked me to be his girl"
"Oh, okay"
He sighed, drifting back to sleep
I snuggled into Johnny's chest, he kissed my forehead and we fell asleep almost immediately

A/n if this sucked I'm blaming it on the fact that I haven't slept since 3 this afternoon, and it's 6:32 a.m so this is what I'm doing before I go to sleep 😂😂😂
