Luke:

I was currently sitting at a diner waiting for Olivia to meet up with for brunch. I'm beyond happy at how close her and I have gotten. I can without a doubt say she is my best friend and I would be lost without her now. It's crazy to think that I hadn't had her in my life for this long.

I looked down at my phone to see that it was 11:00. Fifteen minutes past the time Olivia said she was going to meet up with me. It wasn't like her to be this late without calling or texting first. I unlocked my phone and was about to call Olivia when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned to see a women standing in front of me.

"Can I help you?" I asked her as I turned to fully look at her. She smiled sweetly at me.

"Ummm I never do this but my friend Olivia said that you would be here. She kinda set us up on a blind date." She said to me nervously. I couldn't help but roll my eyes at her words. All I could think was I was going to kill Olivia.

"I can't believe she fucking did this again." I got up form the table and grabbed my jacket.

"What do you mean? You didn't know about this date?" She asked me with sadness. I couldn't help but feel like an ass as she said this. I mean it wasn't like it was her fault that my best friend was on a kick to find me a girlfriend. That she has been no stop getting after me and trying to set me up with every single, good looking girl within a twenty five mile radius.

"No I didn't. And this isn't the first time she has done this to me. I don't mean to be rude, but can you just give me a minute?" I asked her. She looked at me sadly and nodded her head. I watched as she sat down, when she did so I walked out of the coffee house and called Olivia.

"Hello?" She answered guiltily.

"Olivia you promised me that you weren't going to do this again. " I could hear her laughing at my words.

"Luke as you best friend it is up to me to find a girl that deserves to be with you. And I honestly think that your going to love Gabby. She is a great match for you." She answered back to me.

"Olivia." I groaned. "You said that about every other girl that you have set me up with in the last two weeks. I am sick of all these dates."

"I am only trying to help you Luke, you need to get over Danielle. And there are a bunch of women out there that would be more then willing to be with you." I groaned at her words.

"Olivia I know I need to get over Danielle. And I am trying, but I want it to be with the right girl. Not with all these girls you have been trying to set me up with, they just aren't my type." I said to her. I knew she meant well, but these girls she was sending my way where more her type, and not mine.

I heard her sigh on the other side of the phone. "Listen Luke how about we make a deal. If you truly don't like Gabby, then I promise I will not set you up on anymore dates. How does that sound?" She asked me. I sighed loudly at her words.

"Olivia," I groaned.

"Please Luke just give her a chance. I truly think your going to like her." She pleaded with me.

"Fine if you truly promise that if I don't like her, your not going to set up any more dates. I just need a break from all of this. I want to find the right women on my own terms, if this date doesn't work out." I explained to her.

"Yes Luke. I promise that I am not going to set you up on anymore dates. As long as you truly give Gabby a chance then I will give you a break." I couldn't help but feel relief at her words. " For a while anyway." She added. I rolled my eyes at her words. She was definitely relentless. But that was one thing that I loved about her.
