"Aren't you that girl who usually stays back to watch the game?" Then she remembered that there were rumors going around about that girl having a major hard-on for her. Kasey Conell? The girl from the junior class 3A, So she's the one they're talking about.

"Oh yeah, Kasey am I right?" Cara closes her locker and moved to Kasey's direction, turning Kasey's mind blank.

Kasey nods, somehow surprised that Cara actually knows about her, she was screaming in the inside. "You left it." Her hands shaking, Kasey hands the jersey to Cara.

"Thanks." Cara said, moving even closer to Kasey, staring into Kasey's eyes filled with blankness. makes her sweat profusely.Kasey pushes her glasses back up on her face, looking away. she just couldn't look straight into Cara's intimidating eyes, it would just make her melt.

Cara holds her jersey up, taking a sniff, she looks back at Kasey. "You even had it washed, what detergent did you use?" She asked.

"Um..Uh..." such a simple question yet she couldn't pull herself together to get the words out. "Tide." -brand of detergent*

"Oh?" Cara says , "I thought you used some sort of detergent for nerds. " she bends her head closer to Kasey to inhale Kasey's sweet smell. "Smells just like you." Cara drops the jersey before giving it a stomp. laughter filled the hallway as Kasey's eyes widen in shock , it was as if waher heart had been stomped on together with the jersey, She falls on her knees picking the soiled jersey.

"You can have it, I don't want to catch your nerd virus. People like you are just simply pathetic." Cara sneered, walking past Kasey. "freak." Cara mutters under her breath.

Kasey could hear the people snickering, gloating over her misery. Emily was right about her, She's a heartless beast!

That was when Kasey's love for Cara turned into hate and anger, she has never been this humiliated in her life, yet only a jerk like Cara has put her to shame in public.

"Kasey!" Emily yells running to the girl weeping on the floor, " I knew something like this was going to happen." She says, pulling Kasey up. "I'm sure you're going to find someone better than her, better than Cara, she doesn't deserve your love."

Kasey's eyes were filled with tears, clenching onto the 'gift' Cara has given to her.

"You'll get over her." Emily says, pulling Kasey into a hug.

The next few days didn't turn out well for Kasey that's for sure, when what happened turned into the school's trending news. It hurt Kasey so much, being insulted and mocked by the person she looked up to the most. She hates herself for being such a fool, for trying to convince herself that Cara wasn't the bad girl they say she is, and now? She ends up getting her heart broken.

"People like you are simply pathetic." Kasey stands in front of the mirror reflecting on the words Cara once said. Am I really pathetic?

Maybe she really was, she was pathetic enough to fall for Cara. She's been spending so much time wallowing over such useless matters, maybe it's about time she moved on. Well, that's easier said than done, when you see that person all the time at school. And so, Kasey decided to concentrate on her studies, and stay away from further distraction. It's a good thing she won't be seeing Cara anymore next school year, that way she won't have to put up with the pain she's being reminded of whenever she sees Cara.
