Ibiki stumbled into his house, slightly intoxicated from a night out drinking. The man had nearly drank himself to death over the last two years, alcoholism being a new condition of his.

He had spent months after Akai died trying to cope with it. But he overworked himself, always going on missions and things of that sort. Because he wanted to create a distraction, to create something that made him not want to obsess over her death.

Because Akai didn't deserve that death.

Ibiki knew Akai. And Akai wouldn't have died that easily. He knew she wouldn't let a silly sickness take her away from that loved and cared for her so much. She wouldn't have died without saying goodbye.

Ibiki sat down on the couch, crossing his legs over each other as he tilted a bottle of sake back against his lips, a large gulp traveling down his throat. When he was done, he slammed the bottle down on the table and fell back against the couch with a loud sigh.

That is until he heard a loud bang come from inside of Akai's old room.

The man leaped up from his seat and stumbled to her bedroom. He hasn't opened the door since she died, but he slammed it open and flipped on the light. Inside of the room was a hooded figure with the kanji for 'Mist' on the cloak.

"Akai..." Ibiki trailed off, and the figured turned around for only a second, but in that second the figures was turned, Ibiki took a shocked breath because the eyes that shown through were a pair of all too familiar grey ones. The figure shook its head before leaping out of the window, a sack on his back.

"No!" Ibiki said as he stumbled to the window, sticking his head out as he watched the figure jump away. "AKAI!!" Ibiki screamed, before he fell back into the room, shaking his head.

That couldn't have been Akai. She was dead, he knew she was dead, and there was no way that Akai was in her bedroom just now.

But those eyes. Ibiki knew those eyes. He knew those eyes better than he knew most people's. And those eyes were Akai's. They had to be.

Ibiki stumbled out of the room and back to his couch, sitting down with back completely against the back of the couch. How? Why did she tell him, why didn't she come back? Did he make it up due to his drunken state? Or was she actually there?

Ibiki groaned, knowing he was too drunk for anyone to believe him over the Akai situation that just occurred, but he needed to tell someone. Anyone.

Because there was a dead girl walking.

It was a few moments later when a knock came to Ibiki's door, and was then opened. In walking the remaining of the two students he had trained, Shin and Akito.

Shin over the years had become much taller, standing nearly as tall as Kakashi by this point in time. His pink hair was cut short, and he still wore a similar outfit, but now the shirt was sleeveless and had the Haruno clan symbol on the front right chest.

Akito, was a small bit taller than Shin, but his hair was still sorta longish. Across his back were his twin katanas, them crossing over each other in an X-shape. The boy had a kunai pouch strapped on his leg, and in that pouch was only the last note from Akai, which he brought with him everywhere so it would seem like Akai was with them in every mission they went on.

"Ibiki, are you okay?" Shin asked with a small laugh as his drunken sensei tried to get up off the couch.

"No. I saw her! In her room!" Ibiki said, slurring his words and stumbling towards to his team.

"Saw who?"

"Aka-ai!" Ibiki said with a hiccup separating her name.

"Oh, you're really drunk." Shin said, patting Ibiki's back with a sigh. "Akai is dead, Ibiki."
