"It's already frustrating enough for you to keep stuff form me and ask me to trust you, now you won't listen to me."
I crossed my arms. "What's going on with you?"
He looked to the ground and shoved his hands into his pockets.
"Ally you have to-"
"Trust you?" I cut him off, "you've been saying that a lot lately. You won't tell me what's going on with you but every time you space out it seems like your contemplating the freakin' apocalypse."
He sighed and ran his hand through his hair.
"You know why I haven't told you anything? Huh? It's because you can't handle it. You're not like us. You don't see things the way we do. You're the only newbie in the picture and there's no damn way in hell I'm gonna draw you into it just because you're frustrated. Get a grip." He looked at me with hardened eyes, but he was far from done. "You think I like keeping things from you? I do it out of necessity. I'm trying to protect you, so shut up and let me do it."
I gaped at him.
He shook his head then stalked past me.

We were eating dinner when there was a knock at the door.
I put my fork down.
"Aunt Jessica, tell him he's not welcomed here anymore."
"Give the poor boy a break." She said with a smirk.
I narrowed my eyes at her, she was only saying that because she liked the drama. I just knew it.
"I told you what he said, he's not welcomed here anymore and-"
"I'm hungry." Whined someone by the doorway.
Grandma almost fell out of her chair and Aunt Jessica was a hair strand away from shifting.
Dario was at the dining room door, clad in black.
"Theresa can I have some?" He asked.
She looked flustered for a moment then stood up and smoothed her dress. "Dario the next time you just waltz into this house unannounced you'll find claw marks in your chest before you know it." She walked off into the kitchen.
He raised an eyebrow. "She does know I specialize in lock pickings right?" He took a seat next to me.
"Hey Jess."
She huffed and continued eating.
Ever the charmer.
"So after this, we're going to watch a movie." He said addressing me, after seeing my puzzled look he he said "you thought it would be Luc?"
I nodded. I was kinda disappointed he hadn't come to apologize.
"So what movie are we going to watch?"
He leaned back. "Something romantic so you and Luc can make up, and Trey can hold Michie's hand." He smirked at the last part.
"And you?" I asked raising my brow.
"I'll be with the love of my life." He said with a delicate shrug.
"Who's that?"
"Myself." He gave himself a big hug, "I
love me some Dario. Mhm."
"Must get boring sometimes."
"I have fights to keep it spicy."
Grandma came back with food for him and he ate it like a starving man.
"Let's go." He said licking his fingers clean. "Thanks again MT."
When we were on the porch steps I turned to him, "MT?"
He grinned, "Mother Theresa."

Lucien's POV.
Where were they?
I can just imagine how angry Ally would be.
I rubbed my temples. I shouldn't have shouted at her like that. But I'm under a lot of stress.
Especially with a new threat looming.
"It's none of your business Dario!"
I peered over to where the voice came from.
"No shit!" Dario yelled back.
Ally spun around; eyes scanning. "Where is he?"
I sighed and stepped out of the dark corner I was in.
"Present."
She glared at me and turned back to Dario.
BOOM!
The explosion was blinding and powerful. It threw us back onto the pavement. Pieces of Dario's car fell like confetti and rain down around us tipped with flame.
Ally was coughing and clutching her arm. She looked terrified then her head whipped around to Dario.
He was lying completely still flailed out with the back of his head bleeding.
Ally teared up.
I shrugged off my jacket and made a makeshift bandage then carefully wrapped it around his head. Taken him by under his arms I pulled him further away from the explosion.
Ally helped my support his head. She was crying like crazy now.
We set him down on the grass and she placed his head in her lap.
"Should I put pressure on it?" She asked looking up at me.
"Its coagulating." I answered then whipped out my phone. I hesitated. If I called this person, Ally would be in danger. I hit the call button. They picked up on the second ring.
"Chief." I said curtly, "Dario is injured. Explosion. Head wound. The Movie Theatre."
"On our way." And the line went dead.
I turned to Ally. "Don't take this the wrong way, but you need to get the hell out of here."
