Alecia's PoV.
As soon as Trey's boot hit the ground, I picked up their scent. I started to run in their direction and then I realized I was still a lioness. I turned to face aunt Jessica.
Aunt Jessica?
I watched her roll back onto her tummy and her wolf ears perked up.
Yes Ally?
How do I change back to human...?
Why do you want to?
Don't you smell them?
She lifted her head and let out a low whine.
Trey and Michelle. She got up and prowled toward me. Changing back to human... Is difficult.
So I'm stuck?
Not exactly, it just won't be easy.
So... What do I do?
It's probably best if you wait out trying to turn back human for now. Grandma suggested from her high branch, her hawk eyes peering down at us. Turn into a bird. Lead them here.
You make it sound so easy. Like they're gonna see a random bird and follow it.
Michelle will, she knows... Certain things.
What?
When she gets here let her explain.
Okay... Be back soon.
I imagined a small nightingale and soon I was flying towards Trey and Michelle.

"Hi Michelle! Hi Trey!" I said, it came out as a series of song chirps.
Darn it...
They looked around though.
"What was that?" Trey asked.
Michelle rolled her eyes. "A bird, moron."
"Guys! Look up here!" This time I was really singing.
Michelle looked up.
"It's just a nightingale, Trey."
"Just a nightingale? I'm your friend!"
"An angry nightingale." Michelle said taking a step back.
I flew down on a lower branch and stared at them. They stared back.
I flew to a tree and they followed. I did it again and they shrugged and followed.
"...Ally?" Michelle said hesitantly.
"Yes! Yes!" I flapped my wings.
"Ally?" Trey asked looking at Michelle like she was crazy.
She opened both her palms and stretched towards me.
"Get down here girlie!"
I flew down and landed in her hands.
"I missed you!"
