Alecia's PoV.

I fell asleep on the floor downstairs, but when I woke up, I was on a bed with Grandma looking over at me with a worried expression.

"Good morning...?" I said.

"So she speaks." Grandma said helping me sit up. "We found you on the floor by the door sound asleep."

"Did he bore you to bed?" I looked beside me to see Trey sitting down with wet hair. "I could've told him that's not how it's done."

I threw a pillow at him.  He caught it and threw it back at me. "No he didn't. I was just really tired."

"Uh huh."  He got up and walked out of the room.

I gave Grandma a puzzled look.

"He was really worried about you, he just doesn't like Lucien."

"Yeah..." I looked down to see I was wearing pajamas. "You changed me?"

"No, Jessica did, how was your date?" She asked taking a seat on the bed.

"It started off great, the food was wonderful, then we had an argument, then we were held at gun point in the parking lot by a model, then we had another argument, then we kissed and now I'm home."  I said it all in one breath.

Grandma threw her head back and laughed.

That was not what I expected.

When she was done, she reached over to brush my hair with her hands. "Sounds like your night was eventful, overall did you enjoy it?"

"I did... Lucien's not a bad guy, grandma. He has his flaws, but so does everyone else."

"I know that, which is why I was never against you two dating."

"Tell aunt Jessica that for me?" I grumbled.

"She just wants to shelter you darling. Try to understand that."

"Lucien said I should talk to her about her past. About what she did, he said that if I would hear her out, I would understand her better."

"Lucien is right, though I'm not too sure I like the idea you were having a conversation like that with him. You two might be dating, but I need you to remember, he will be the next Chief of The Venatores. No talk about our family alright?"

"Okay."

"Now tell me," she said brushing her hair back. "Who pulled out a gun at you?"

"Some girl named Marie-"

"Marie? She's back?" Grandma asked astonished.

"Wait, you know her?"

She waved her hand making her bracelet jingle. "You could say that. What did Lucien do?"

"He kicked her. In the neck. Can you believe him?"

"Ally... This is going to sound sick but... I'm glad he did. She would have used that gun. No doubt about it."

"I think... I think she might be dead by now. Lucien said she had to be 'taken care of.'"

"No, he wouldn't kill her. Don't worry about that."
