I was running through a dark forest. I was very short and it seemed to make me very fast.
I had the feeling someone or something was chasing me. Trying to hurt me.
I was passing a pond and I had to stop and see my reflection.
When I looked at the clear water, I only saw a cheetah. Black spots standing out on brown-yellow fur... Piercing eyes staring.
I felt a sharp pain shoot through my leg and when I looked down an arrow was lodged there.
Blood came out soaking my fur and making me weak. The arrow had poison in it.
I watched as someone emerged from the forest behind me and pulled back their black hood.
It was Lucien.
"Sorry sweetheart." He notched another arrow and let it fly towards me. I closed my eyes and fell.
I jumped out of bed. Breathing hard and sweating.
It was just a dream Ally... Just a dream.
I walked into my bathroom and washed my face.
I stared at my reflection. I watched as the outline of a cheetah showed up around my face.
The animal seemed dormant... Or rather dead.
What's happening to me?...
I gritted my teeth and took the toothbrush holder and with one last glance at my reflection, smashed the mirror.

The Chief's PoV.
I was in my study when Lucien rushed in telling me what he overheard from Alecia Allen at the cafe.
After he was finished, I sent him away to compose himself.
Lucien was a excellent pupil, but when the reality came near it made him frantic and rash.
I picked up the phone and called The Captain.
"Chief."
"Captain, we have matters to discuss. I believe that we might have missed a Bloom a few years back."
"Nonsense." He growled. "We were both there when we sent those filthy hybrids back to hell."
"I can't prove anything to you over the phone Captain, I suggest you come to Kingswood. Then I will explain everything."
"Tomorrow afternoon."
The line went dead.
I still remember Nova Bloom's dead figure and her brother, Derrick's soulless eyes.
I opened a drawer in my desk and took out a dagger with a wooden handle.
With a tiny knife I carved the letters AA on it.
A dagger just for Alecia Allen, this will make a wonderful poetic murder.
