Alecia's PoV.
It's been days.
After I was knocked out, they took me to this underground cell; I couldn't shift. I remember a voice telling me that it was a poison, it literally lulled my spirit animals to sleep. Sucks for me.
I hugged me knees and closed my eyes.
Ever since I was thrown in here, every time I fell asleep, I had the same dream... It was about my mother, and as soon as I would reach out to hug her. BOOM! Darkness everywhere, and Lucien's father would come out and kill her all over again. And there was nothing I could do about it...
I shuddered.
My mind wandered and I was back in the woods with Aunt Jessica. I don't know if she's locked up like I am or worse... I gulped and fought back my tears.
I sighed and looked around nothing eventful has ever happened. Food was delivered and when I needed to use the bathroom masked people would haul me to one.
I smelled horrible. My hair was a mess and my mouth tasted awful. I'm really not sure how long I've been here. With no knowledge of the outside world and a constant clammy and dark environment... It was hard to tell.
I heard footsteps approaching the cell.
"What do you hope to accomplish with keeping her here, Cora?" A gruff voice asked.
"She is bait Shaun."
"Whoever you are baiting doesn't seem to care, she's been here for two weeks."
I hung my head and took deep breaths.
Two weeks?
"Patience Shaun, good things come to those who wait."
"You're wrong Cora, good things come to those who go out and get it."
"What are you suggesting?"
"That perhaps it's time to go and get what we want, she can stay and rot."
"Hm... She might know something."
"I doubt it Cora. The girl seems dense and would rather us have her tongue removed and face mutilated before she said anything."
"You might be right, however-"
"Mother!" A new high pitched voice screamed. It sounded familiar.
"Oh mother! I'm glad I caught you, I have a request." The voice rambled on.
"The shapeshifter inside the cell... She'll be dying soon correct?"
"Indeed."
"I want to be the one to kill Alecia Allen..."
"Why?"
"Oh, it would boost my ranking and I'll get recognition."
"You're my daughter. You already have all of that."
"I have it because I'm living in your shadow mother, if I do this, I'll create my own legacy."
"Hm... Very well, Marie." MARIE.
"Oh thank you mother." Marie cooed.
Then I heard the door to the cell creak open.
Cora was the first to step inside then a broad shouldered man with a deep scowl was next; Shaun. Lastly was Marie, she wasn't wearing a dress this time, but instead she was in full black. She drew back her hood so I could see the smirk on her face and then she took out a dagger.
