I pace the school looking for my class. I wasn't quiet. I had many opinions. Just the fact of being new made me socially awkward.

My class was 502b

I walked the hallways sliding my hand across the signs in front the doors

500b

501b

I looked down at my paper with the class written on it. Suddenly two feet appear under it.

Look up my mind tells me..and so I did

A girl stood there smiling kindly. She had brunette hair, almost like mine but darker and straight. Mine was light and frizzy.

"Lost?"
"Oh--u-uh yea" I smile back.
She looks down at my paper
"Oh! 502b! Right there." She points to the room directly across from the one I was standing in front of.

Seriously?

"I'm Maddie by the way"
"Hi, I'm Delila"
"Cool. So yeah this is your class..guess we're friends now" she said
"Yea." I smiled I guess we are.

********

Still in class all I could do was stare at the clock.

3 minutes left

I had successfully spent the whole class not being social with anyone until..

"Oh! By the way class we have a new student if you didn't notice already"

Oh no.

"Come up here and tell us your name and something about you."

Do schools even do this anymore?? Damn it.

I walk up to the front of the class

"Hi. My name is Delila,"

Someone laughs in the back of the class

"Hey cut her some slack, alright?" I hear a male voice say. He turns back around after telling off the other student.
"Proceed" he says softly with a smile.

His smile is gorgeous. Brown hair, brown eyes.

"Thank you, Mr. Cameron." The teacher jokes.

Cameron.

Come on Delila, don't get side tracked.

Before I would continue the bell rings

That's the end of 5th period.
Now lunch.

My favorite.
