Eli's POV

I met up late with my parents after leaving Sophia's house. My dad wanted to meet with me & talk about what he says is personal. I'm not sure what he means by that but it must be important because we are working together to take down the Roberts.

My father and I were in his office so we could talk in private. My mom was tired & she turned in early. My father & I sat across from each other. Before I could say something he offered me a Cuban cigar. Now when my father offers me a Cuban cigar that means whatever we are going to talk about it going to be serious.

"Only because you are offering" I said to him taking the cigar then taking a seat right across from him

I lit my cigar and then I watched my father light his. He took 2 puffs of it and signed deeply.

"I know about Daniels son" my father said coming clean about what he really wanted to talk about.

"Do you approve?" I asked out of curiosity

"From a business standpoint no son I don't approve. From a fathers standpoint I do approve" my father said smirking and shaking my hand. My father knows when to be my father & knows when to be a businessman to businessman with me.

"I can see how you could say that." I said to him. I think he doesn't agree with fucking my PA but we are more than that.

"Do you love her?" My father asked straightforwardly

"I am in love with her" I admit to him. My father smirks and takes a puff of his cigar. He blows out the smoke and o shapes

"Daniels is a dangerous girl son. You better make sure you don't mess this up. I think she's the one for you." He said honestly. I'm surprised he would say that.

"I know" I said

"Which leads me to say this. Keep her far away from this Bombay & Roberts war. The moment they find out the real status of you two it will put you both in danger. They will attack you where it hurts. They will go after her"My father said and I jumped in

"They already have. The Roberts approached her brother in his school. They crossed the line with her & they have doubled crossed me with you and now her. I'm not letting that go" I said getting angry thinking about it.

"That is old news to me. Son I don't think you realize the extent of her own power and influence. I had to pay off her people to stop their plan. Her people had located the man and had every intention to kill him as soon as they got there hands on him. The media is too hot on her right now. I don't want any blood on her hands or draw any attention to you or the company. " my father said

I just took a puff of my cigar and didn't say anything. This is news to me.

"Is this news to you?" My father asked me

"It's news to me you paid them off. She didn't tell me about her people." I said

"Don't be too upset with her because I don't think she knows that her people found him that quick. I was fortunate to get to them before they told her. " my father said

"Why did her people believe you? " I asked

"Thank god one of my temp security knew one of them. If it wasn't for him to convince one of her people, we wouldn't have control" my father said
