Chapter Forty-two: Broken again

She kicked Zeus who's sitting by the end of her bed. "Quit it!"

Tumawa naman ito, holding his hands up in surrender. "Just cheering you up"

Ezra narrowed her eyes. "You know?"

"Mama slipped the info one time" He grinned evily. "I thought it wasn't true but seeing you like this, I finally believe it"

Napa irap naman si Ezra. Okay lang si Enzo at Asher na may care pa sa kanya after knowing what happened, itong kumikiliti ng paa niya ngayon ay pang asar lang.

"Ayaw mong pumasok ngayon?" Tanong muli ni Asher, na naka yakap parin kay Ezra.

"You have to though," Zeus adds. "Attendance is mandatory for this week since it won't be just us"

"Alam ko," mataray na sagot ni Ezra dito. "Papasok ako. Pupusta ako sa inyong dalawa kaya"

May kumakalat kasing rumor ngayon tungkol sa gagawing battle strategy. Vampires vs. Wolves daw kaya nagliparan ang mga pustahan.

"We're glad to be your source of entertainment," Asher replied dryly as Ezra sat up, finally stretching her limbs.

Hinintay siya ng dalawa habang nag aayos. Mabagal ang kilos niya kumpara sa normal speed ng pag pe-prepare niya for the day. Nang lumabas siya ng bathroom naroon na rin si Enzo at sabay na silang apat na pumuntang Dining Hall for breakfast.

The Academy is awfully cheery today. Iyon agad ang napansin ni Ezra sa mga nakasalubong nila. Some were already wearing their gear for combat since their schedule for this week is different because of the so called 'visitors'.

But when they stepped in the Dining Hall, napansin niyang sobrang tahimik. Ang tunog lang ng mga kubyertos ang maririnig, ni walang nagsasalita kahit isa. Kahit ang mga kasunod nila natahimik din.

Ezra found out why when her eyes zeroed to their table.

Akala niya hindi siya makakangiti ng lubos ngayong araw, nagkamali pala siya.

"Good morning, Papa" She reached to kiss Senri Sinclaire's cheeks na baon din ang nakakabatang kapatid nilang si Lizzy, pati na si Blake at Casper.

Nakipag high five pa si Zeus kay Blake at Casper at ginulo naman nito ang buhok ni Lizzy. Enzo leaned down to kiss their little sister's cheeks while Asher stayed silent.

"Tagal niyo," sabi pa ni Blake.

"What are you guys doing here?" Tanong naman ni Zeus.

"Makiki breakfast lang," Lizzy answered as she munched on a muffin.

"Papa thought it would be good for us if we watch some of your training session since he's in charge of babysitting us today," sagot naman ni Blake. Natawa naman si Zeus sa sinabi ng kapatid.

Ezra chuckled too.

"Ako na kukuha ng breakfast mo," nilingon naman ni Ezra si Asher sa sinabi nito. She nods at him and he was off with Enzo to the breakfast table.

Hindi na sumama si Zeus dahil pinuntirya nito ang nasa plato ni Aiane which she glady offered to her brother. Napansin naman ni Ezra na may kulang pa.

"Where's Aria, Seige and Flame?"

"Seige said she had something to do," Aiane answered. "I don't know about Ate Aria and Flame"

"Kinausap mo si Seige?" Tumaas naman ang kilay ni Zeus.

"Masama ba?" Naka nguso namang sagot ni Aiane dito.

Ezra rolled her eyes before turning to man who made her smile today. "You'll be here all day, Pa?"
