After going back to housing authority and talking to someone who could help I was still stuck up shit creek without a paddle. Somehow they'd managed to fill all the dorms and not put me into none that they'd filled. Therefore leaving me to stay in the only vacant room eligible on campus. Did I mention that it was literally inside the dog house.

The school was set up in wings. Each wing was spaced out but still considered campus property. The west wing in this case was fraternity and sorority central. I'd even asked if they had room in the sorority house and of course there wasn't.

I played with my fries not knowing how one me was suppose to stay in a house  with five guys.

Each house had six rooms, three bathrooms and a community kitchen and living area. The thought of having to share a bathroom really had me on edge.

I liked my space. I enjoyed cleanliness along with peace and quiet. For some reason I didn't feel like I'd be getting that.

"Why you still totin' dis stuff around?" Ash asked taking a seat across from me.

His eyes held a sincere look of concern as my face held pure disappointment.

"My living situation is all screwed up." I sighed running my free hand through my hair.

"Aww shit you bout' ta' cry or-"

"No I'm not going to cry." I chuckled shaking my head at how fast he was going to leave if I did.

"Good cuz I can't handle cryin', but whea' they got you stayin'?" He asked sitting back down getting comfortable again.

"West wing. Omega psi phi frat house." I said rolling my eyes as his eyes bulged out.

I nodded my head at his reaction. Same thing I did.

"How da hell they put you in da dog house?" He asked grabbing one of my fries waiting for my answer.

I didn't like sharing without being asked so I politely pulled my fries closer to me before explaining to him my situation.

"Damn la baybeh. They must want you ta' hate school yo first year." He said twisting one of his dreads.

"Yea looks like it to me, but imma thug it out since I have no choice at the moment." I forced a fake smile on my face causing him to laugh before standing up.

"A'ight killa." He joked causing me to laugh.

"C'mon let me take you dea so you can get situated. It's a party tonight and you can't be outchea mopin' like this." He said grabbing my luggage as I threw away my food.

We made small talk while walking toward the west wing. Finally approaching the house Ash was about to just walk in.

Stopping him I gave him a are you crazy look. "You aren't scared to go in there with all them Ques?"

Hell if he wasn't scared I was. Probably not scared but something about the presence of too many headstrong men made me nervous.

He chuckled. "Nah. I'm good. I live hea'."

Disappointment flashed across my face as he proceeded into the house and I slowly tagged along behind him.

Ash seemed too like right to have any ties with what I've heard about this group of young men.

I was told to stay far away from them. That they'd mess up my credit score, my vaginal walls, my outlook on men, and my life. Now here I was stepping over the threshold to having my life ruined.
