With great reluctance, I entered the grading room.

“Uchiha Migome.” I stated, just as I was told. The three proctors looked at their papers, I glared at the orange haired proctor the most, since he was the one that worked me like a mule.

The blue haired woman, the instructor for the ninjutsu testing, looked up at me with a smile,

“20 out of 20, young Uchiha.” I inwardly smiled,

“Thank you.” The dark haired man was next, he was the one in charge of the intellectual exams,

“18 out of 20.” I glared at the bored looking man, who just smirked at my reaction. I turned to the orange haired shinobi. He grinned at me,

“Did you have the most  fun at my exam? I tried to make it as hard as possible, can’t have any weaklings passing, ca-“ The blue haired shinobi punched him over the head,

“Get on with it, idiot!” She hissed at him. All the orange haired man did was laugh nervously,

“Ahaha! Righto. Migome, you got 19 out of 20.” I cheered in my head,

“Congratulations!” the blue haired woman cheered,

“You pass!” the orange haired shinobi finished,

“Now get out of our way.” The dark haired man sneered, “I don’t want to have to spend any more time than necessary with these losers.” I stared at the dark haired shinobi,

“I agree.” This made him smirk, and, no sooner had I said that, I grabbed the paper that indicated I passed and left the room.

“Migome!” I heard someone shout, I ignored them and kept walking to the compound, “Migomeeeeeee!” Someone whined from behind me. I spun around and saw Haru with a pout on his face, he brightened up when he realised that I was actually acknowledging his existence, “Did ya pass? Did ya? Did ya?” I pointed to the top of my shorts, I requested a headband that acted as a belt, just so I wouldn’t have to deal with issue of it falling off so easily.

Haru grinned, “And you?” I asked, “Did you pass?” Haru chuckled and held up a headband,

“You know it.” I hn’d,

“What? Did you dad bribe the proctors?” Haru looked genuinely hurt by this,

“Why can’t you accept that I’m actually a great ninja?” I snorted,

“You? A great ninja?” I laughed loudly, “Haru, you are many things. But a great ninja is not one of them.” He glared at me, his eyes full of hatred and betrayal. The last one I couldn’t understand, why would he feel betrayed? It’s not like I’m his friend or anything.

“I’m so proud of you!” My mum cooed happily. I just stared blankly as she danced around the room in a daze, no doubt the monthly check from dad came in.

“It came today, didn’t it?” My mum turned to me and pursed her lips like a child,

“How’d you know? I was keeping it a secret for later!” I sighed and shook my head,

“Don’t you worry about it.” I muttered before standing, “I’m going to bed.” I told her as I exited the room,

“Wait! It’s only 6, what’s wrong?” I turned and glared at her,

“What wrong is that your still taking money from that loser!” I growled and turned forward,

“Yes yes.” My mum sighed wearily as I stomped up the stairs.

As I laid in my bed with my IPod blasting in my ears, my eyes just decided to drift to my bedroom window. I froze when I saw a reflection of a bloodied little girl in a white dress, by the looks of it, she was standing right behind my bed.

I didn’t blink, I was afraid that if I made any movement, she’d eat my soul or something,

Why do you look so scared?” A small voice asked, it was barley a whisper, “Your supposed to be big and strong, just like-“ I spun around to face the child, but nobody was there. My hands shook as I looked back at the window.

I was alone.
