Pyris Spirits
Elementum pyro

Pyris spirits are strange creature entirely consisted of fire. They are created from any fire source, ranging from campfires to wildfires. Usually from embers and coals in fires, some will have strange material form around them, creating a pyris spirit. The ember or coal becomes the creature's heart, known as a emberheart.
Pyris spirits are very mysterious creatures, known to be sentient and intelligent. Unfortunately for them though, they die very easily, as if their fires are out out, they will die. Lack of oxygen or removing their emberheart will kill them, for these two are their fuel sources. If a pyris spirit does not die from any of these, they will eventually fade out, their fires dimming from constant eating away at their emberheart. When the emberheart is completely burned up, a pyris spirit will die.
Pyris spirits are herbivores. They may seem dangerous, but they rarely interact with animals as they are strangely considerate. They seem to know that their fires harm animals, so they tend to stay away from any living beings. However, trees are an exception. Trees are their main food source since they can use them as fuel. Pyris spirits can also spread trees this way because after consuming a tree, they'll help saplings on the ground grow without any larger trees in the way. The ground also becomes more fertile after, similar to the way ground around volcanoes is very rich in fertility.

Emberhearts
-Usually look like coals
-Have strange curving grooves
-Grooves represent the fires of pyris spirits' chipping away at the emberheart, as the emberheart is basically their fuel
-Number of grooves shows age

Glowworm
-Formed around emberhearts, these are the first stage of the pyris spirit life cycle
-They usually stay this way for about 5 years
-About 1 foot long in length at most
-Glowworms look like insect-like caterpillars
-They are solid but glow with a warm heat
-Have yet to catch on fire
-Because of them having no fire, they have a high mortality rate

Coals
-The second stage in a pyris spirit's life cycle
-Coals usually last for about a year
-This is when a glowworm will form a cocoon around itself with a strange heat emanating fiber
-Inside the cocoon, the temperature will rise, igniting the glowworm inside
-It is not known why ignition is necessary or even possible
