CHAPTER 2: SECRETS

"Yeah that was..."

"Come out with it already! Don't kill me with the bloody suspense."

"That was me."

"But you had a twin with you." Hermione said

"That was my twin Lyra. She was killed by Bellatrix because she didn't want to be a death eater. That's why I became one. So that my family wouldn't lose us both. I didn't want to be one but they said they would kill my mother if I didn't cooperate and I love her too much to lose her."

"Oh Draco! Why didn't you ever tell anyone?" she exclaimed as she hugged him.

"Well, I told Blaise but he didn't care as much as you did. He's not an emotional guy. You're one of the only people that's actually cared enough to talk to me and ask."

"Well I'm glad you told me and you shouldn't keep it bottled up like that."

"I know, I know"

"What?"

"Mother always tells me that but it never helps."

"You can tell me anything Draco." She said

"We should get going"

"Yeah, don't wanna be late for astronomy class"

"We have a new teacher this year, some guy named Smith, John Smith."

"Lets go," she said, pulling his arm and turning towards the door.

"Mione wait."

"What?" she asked

"...Thanks." Draco mumbled. She grabbed his hand and they ran through the halls to make it on time because she's Hermione Granger and she refused to be late. They walked through the doors calmly, acting as if they had not just run there but rather walked. They appeared to be slightly late so everyone was staring them down, trailing their eyes from their flustered faces to their entwined hands.

They walked to the back, their hands were still entwined. Draco leant over to her ear and whispered, "You might want to let go of my hand now, but you don't have to because you know you can't resist me."

She took her other hand and hit him playfully on his chest. Everyone looked at her like she was crazy. Ron was about to start a riot when the teacher came in. He was tallish, mid-30's. His chin was weird and he was wearing a bow tie. He had something weird in his hands, not a wand but something that looked sort of like a screwdriver. Draco pointed it out to Hermione and she said he was a visiting professor. Draco found it weird.

He told everyone all to get under this tarp thingy and take turns using his telescope. Hermione being herself said the name of every star, constellation, and planet she was asked about. She was too smart for her own good. If someone were to mug her, she couldn't stop then by yelling a star's name. At least she had magic.

Class was dismissed 45 minutes later when the clock struck 11:00. Draco walked with Hermione until they reached a curtain. Draco ducked under the curtain pulling her with him.

"Draco, what are you doing?"

"I have to tell you something and you might not like it but just hear me out."

"Okay, what?"

"Well, you and Ron dated for a while and he broke up with you right"

"Well it was mutual but yeah."

"And him breaking up with you was a surprise right. You didn't expect it."

"Well it didn't feel like it was working but yeah I was surprised when he suggested taking a break."

"The reason he broke up with you is all my fault but I had to tell him to. It was the only way."

Hello this is me from the future (12/29/18) and I just wanted to pop in and say I changed Draco's twin's name to Lyra. I wholeheartedly agree that Dracoina was the most atrocious name I could have ever chosen. Sorry for all the cringe.
