"I'm tired of watching random Disney movies," Courtney whines, just as The Lion King, our fifth movie, ends.

"What do you expect us to do? I'd say let's sneak out and go to a club or something," I questioned.

We looked at each other in query.

"No. Oh no. We are not sneaking out. Val is right above us," I whispered, pointing upstairs.

"Exactly. He's above us-doing who knows what-not even knowing what we're doing. He won't know. Just sneak out and back before light. That easy," Courtney whispers back.

I have a bad feeling about this. A really bad feeling.

I shake my head, "What if Val does find out and he tells Jake? Then we'll have two people after us."

"Oh, don't worry about the big bad leaders. I have this in the bag," she says, sounding proud.

"Courtney, I've known you forever and I love you so I say this honestly but... You should stop taking drugs for the better."

She gasped and looks at me shockingly, "I'm surprised you would think that," she shrugs, "I thought you could come up with much worse.

I shrug. It's just what happens on impulse.

So it's not the loud music, the people, nor my outfit that is surprising me. No. Right now the only thing that's surprising me is the fact that I'm here. In a house party. With Courtney, who's laughing manically.

I don't exactly know what happened. One second I was in the living room, lounging next to Courtney on the couch, in one of Valentino's shirts, and the next: I'm in between the dance floor and a kitchen, wearing a red short sleeved shirt with a leopard print skater skirt with a gold belt.

My only question is how

My only question is how. How did I get from one place to another wearing different clothes that I don't even own?

According to Courtney, she couldn't find a club that was worth our time so she chose the next best thing. A house party. A house party that a pack member is throwing so it's even easier for Valentino to find his runaway mate and her best friend.

I look to the right to see my once there best friend-gone.

Joy. Now I'm alone. I look around the room in a sweep to look for her. My attempts are useless. I can't find her anywhere.

I mentally shrug and hope that if she gets in trouble at least Jake will be able to know, with their mark. I look around for a quiet corner to stay in till I find her but all of the corners I see are taken by sexually frustrated teens. Well that sucks.

I start toward the kitchen and run into a wall. This feels familiar. Kind of like my birthday. Though that wall ended up being my father. I look up expecting to see an actual wall but instead see Valentino dressed nicely smiling down at me.

That height difference is getting to me again.

I look back at his outfit and see that there's a pair of jeans hanging dangerously low on his hips. As an add on, the shirt he was wearing... could hardly be called a shirt. I look around the room for any peeping Tammy, in a bout of jealousy.

I try to shove him into the kitchen as hard as I can

I try to shove him into the kitchen as hard as I can. Key word being try.

He looks down at me in amusement and confusion. "Gattino, what were you trying to do," he asked.

I look down in embarrassment and turn and walk into the kitchen. I hear his husky laugh follow after me. When we reach the kitchen, I stop.

"How did you find us," I asked him.

He laughs once again and says,"When I realized you guys were gone, I told Jake and a couple minutes later, Courtney mind linked him. She was completely hammered and gave away your location."

I nodded in understanding. Courtney can sometimes be like that.

I get a bottled water from the fridge and start drinking it, watching Valentino watch me.

All of a sudden, he grabs me and pulls me along with him somewhere. We go up a couple flights of stairs and come to the door that leads to the roof. He opens it then pulls me up there.

In the end, we're both laying side by side, on our backs, looking towards the sky without a care in the world.

"Bellissima," Valentino starts quietly.

I hum in response.

"I'd like to take you on a date tomorrow," he looks towards me, "If that's okay with you, of course."

I don't hesitate to answer with a, "Yes."

We both turn back towards the sky and I don't make any notion to reprimand him as he puts his arm at my waist and pulls me closer.

That's how we fall asleep that night. In each other's arms on some random dude's roof.

You must hate me. 10 pages. I could do more. But I'd be adding on to an already perfect (but short) chapter. Oh well. Suck it up you pansies.
