I open my eyes and groggily look around the room.

My room. Valentino's room. Our room.

I don't remember coming to our room to sleep last night. The last thing I remember is... The last thing...

I struggle to remember last night's events. Did I get drunk last night?

I keep thinking for a few more minutes before Amber finally helps me remember everything about Valentino's family.

I mentally nod as everything comes flowing back to me. As I start thinking about Val's family, I begin to feel an ache in my neck.

I groan and touch it to try to massage it. I feel shocks when I touch it. That's actually the breaking point where the rest of last nights events come rushing in.

Blaze. Curse. Mark.

I silently curse and run to the bathroom. I look in the mirror and pull down my shirt slightly so I can see the mark clearer.

It just looks like a bite. Three small puncture wounds can do so much to one person.

I look down at my attire of one of Valentino's shirts and a pair of his boxers, that he must've dressed me in, and shrug. I look decent.

I practically fly out our bedroom and down the stairs in search of Val.

I screech to a halt as I see him in the kitchen, humming to himself, making pancakes. Well it doesn't seem he's doing anything bad.

I sigh and begin walking away but then there's a sudden blast of air and all of a sudden he's right behind me.

He chuckles at my shocked reaction to seeing him move so quickly. "Good morning gorgeous," he muttered as he wraps his arms around my waist.

This just became too real.

"You hungry for some blueberry pancakes. I made them just for you."

I nod in reply as I smell the air. I love blueberry pancakes. Maybe he was wrong about the curse.

He hands me a plate of blueberry pancakes just as Jake and Courtney bust through the door.

"I smelt blueberry pancakes," Courtney grinned, sitting next to me and taking a bite of mine.

"And she dragged me here," Jake panted as he fell to the floor in exhaustion.

Valentino's chuckled and helped Jake off the floor, "You get used to it man," he said fist bumping each other, "The things you do for love."

Jake stopped suddenly and looked at Valentino closely. "Are you Valentino? You seem different," he questioned, quickly poking Val in the bicep.

Jake glances around the room is suspicion, until his eyes landed on me. He scrutinized me, sniffing the air.

As he caught the scent of something else, his eyes widened.

"Y-you let him mark you. Do you know about the-," he glanced at Courtney, who was still eating my pancakes,"problem?"

Courtney finally stopped eating to talk,"What problem?"

I nodded in response to Jake's question. "Yes and I fought him on it all the way but it just happened," I shed light on the subject.

Courtney has started eating again though you can tell she's confused.

"I think Courtney and I should have a sleepover tonight," I said.

Courtney wiped her mouth and shouted yes at the same time Jake and Valentino shouted no. We looked at both boys.

"And why not," Courtney asked Jake with a glare on her face.
