Hey guys. Just a random Gaara love story here. Little note before you start reading: not all names, places, event, and characters are completely accurate, and many are made up by me. There is no connection between this story and the actual Naruto series. Also, many of the things mentioned will not be possible in their time. Hope you enjoy it anyway. :)

Kindia’s P.O.V
I brushed a long strand of black hair from my face. Before me lay the Hidden Sand Village, the home I had been away from.
A grin spread across my face. After so long, I was finally home. I was finally where I belonged.
Slowly, I started down the hill towards the village. My grin widened as I looked down on it. The village hadn’t changed at all.
I immediately headed to my best friend’s house, or at least where she had been living last time I had been in the village.
On the way, I was startled by a voice from behind.
“Kindia!” I spun around. Kankuro was walking towards me. He was now much taller than me.
“Hey, if it isn't my favourite purple faced person,” I said cheekily.
"Shut up,” he tried to sound appalled, and failed. I laughed.
"Still the same idiot,” I joked. He laughed as well, and gave me a hug.
“It sure is good to have the smartass back,” he said. I grinned.
***Whatever. Yes, she is bit of smartass at times***
He led me to the downtown plaza. During the day, it was the main shopping market, but at night, it was the town's party centre.
The main floor was actually a built in dancefloor, which remained unpowered and dull during the day.
We went into a quiet cafe, where I saw three of my youth friends relaxing.
“Look who I found out gy Tiera's place,” Kankuro said triumphantly. Calmly, they spun around. The girl with short, white hair, Tiera, was first to talk.
“Well look who's decided to come home,” she grinned at me.
“Finally finished my training,” I said with a shrug.
“Went and grew up without us, huh?” the other girl joked. We all laughed.
