Lea's POV (Present Time)

My chest heaved up and down as I ran through the corridors of the palace, avoiding guards and serfs as I went. (Serfs are Servants by the way).

I stopped suddenly when I came into sight of an army general, hurriedly getting behind a pillar to hide and wait until he passed by me. My heart was pounding in my ears, my throat going dry in anticipation to get out of here as soon as possible. I could hear yelling and demands being made in the distance, Ozai sent guards after me shortly after I left the throne room, hence why I'm not in my room yet and away from this treacherous place. I took a deep breath, trying to calm my heart rate by breathing in through my nose and exhaling the air out of my mouth.

Once I saw the army general turn the corner, I was off running again, pumping legs to go faster before any guards would reach my room. With my bedroom door in sight, I ran through the opened doorway and closed it behind me, that's when it hit me... I closed my door when I left for the throne room. Eyes widening I turned around, only to stare into the eyes of my older sister, Azula

"Word travels fast, Lea. Now, you being so special an all, why is it now, right when I bring you back home, you disobey father's wishes for you." Azula asked me in a sickening voice, her eyes looking identical to ones of a snake

"You could have ruled this new world with us, Lea. But no, you just had to be the oblivious little girl that you are and join the enemy." I scoffed, shaking my head at her

"You don't really believe this is the right way to go, now do you Azula? You only have one goal in mind, and that's becoming FireLord. This place isn't my true home, home is where you make it, home left me when our mother was banished, then Zuko was banished. This place is no longer my home, just a distant memory of what used to be or what could have been if it haven't been for Ozai's greed taking control of him." I stated matter factly, stunning her

"Now, move aside Azula, I don't want to hurt anyone, I just need to get back to my true home." I told her, standing up straighter so I could seem somewhat intimidating to her

"I'm sorry, sister." Azula whispered before blue flames ignited at her fists

"I truly am, but you leave no choice!" She yelled before launching towards me in fury, her fiery blue flame inching closer and closer to my face. I stared hard at her, before igniting my own fire, pure as gold, I waved my fired hand in front of my face, stopping Azula's flame from brewing, diminishing the flame. She stared at me shocked, confused as to what just happened

"Azula. I don't want to hurt you or anybody else. That's why I choose to show my fire as pure gold. Gold Fire isn't as hot as any other kind of fire. Please Azula, please think about what I said, think about what Mom used to tell us. Fire can be used for good or evil, there is no in-between, it depends on how use it. Fire can injure and kill the ones you love, Fire can heal and warmth your body on cold winter nights. It is your choice on how use it's power, it's your choice to change the possibilities of hurting the ones you hold dear to you."

I could see the wheels turning in Azula's head, not knowing what to think after I quoted our mother. I took a deep breath before jumping over her and ran along the wall, snapping Azula out of her trance. I whistled to Kai quickly and watched as she flew over to me and landed perched onto my shoulder, lightly squawking at Azula

"Goodbye, Azula." I jumped out of the window, this was the last time I would ever be in my room.

(Time Skip, Before Sozin's Comet Arrives)

I came into sight of Ba Sing Se, the biggest Earth Kingdom City in the world, and my one true home after I left the Fire Nation. The City was almost in ruins, flames and smoke can be seen over top of the wall that was barely standing on it's supports. Kai rubbed her head against my cheek lovingly, noticing the sad expression on my face. Memories of me and Shinya flooded through my mind as we rampaged the streets, stealing whatever we could find to survive, saving men from being taken away and being shipped off to war for the Fire Nation. I hated seeing my home like this, in shambles and rubble. I looked up at the sky, noting the fact of how the sky was slowly dimming into a pinkish color, Sozin's Comet was almost upon us. I could already feel the power from the comet even though it would be half an hour before it would reach this part of the world

"Come Kai, we have been training for this since we left the Fire Nation, it's time to take back Ba Sing Se from my deranged country." I stated, igniting my fists and feet and shooting up into the air and over the wall. It is time to heal this scarred world, in order to heal it, we need to make a new era of love, peace, and prosperity. The 100 Year War shall be declared over on this day, the 19Th of Summer's 20Th Era.
