He's a duke and they were supposed to get married!? What the fvcking hell was that? Ano naman kung duke siya?

"You seem strangely quiet..." Natigil ako sa pagpupunas ng buhok ko at sinilip si Cat.

I just finished taking a bath while she's reading a book and sitting on the bed with her legs stretched. Napagpasyahan kong dito na matulog.

Asar parin ako sa nakita ko kanina pero hindi ko maiwasan ang pilyong pagngiti nang tignan niya ang aking katawan. I was only wearing my boxers so she had a nice view of my awesome package. By the way her eyes turned darker and focused, I knew she likes it.

"You can also touch them. They're yours."

"And here I thought that the quiet version will last." Malamig niyang sabi bago bumalik sa pagbabasa.

I frowned remembering what happened back there. How she smiled at that dämn Raul while he was touching her stomach. It was like he's also touching my unborn child. Nakakagagö lang!

At anong sinabi niyang he'd protect them. Sira ba siya!? Ako ang gagawa no'n dahil pamilya ko sila. Sa'kin at hindi sa kanya.

I tossed the towel on the chair near us and moved to the left side of the bed to lay on. Patihaya akong nahiga. The exhaustion hit me in full force the moment I felt then bed.

Kanina pa 'ko nagbabantay kay Auntie. Okay naman siya at nakauwi na sa bahay ang kaso ay ayaw niya 'kong payagang umalis. Balak ko sanang hanapin ang mag-ina ko na sa pag-uwi ko ay hindi ko na nadatnan.

I thought I'd lose my mind thinking where they might had been but I couldn't leave because of Auntie Therese. Ilang beses nang nawala sa'kin si Cat at ilang beses nang pumasok sa isip ko na baka umalis na naman sila ng bansa. Buti nalang at alam ni Alonna kung nasa'n sila.

"Do you really need to stay here?"

"Yes." Sagot niya nang hindi inaalis ang tingin sa libro. Napabuntong hininga ako at bumangon paupo.

"I'm sorry." I breathed. Hinawakan ko ang kanang kamay niya at hinalikan dahilan para mapatingin siya sa'kin. "Hindi dapat kita sinigawan. Nataranta lang ako. Forgive me?"

"It's fine." Aniya na halatang hindi apektado sa mga nangyari.

"Bakit kailangan pang andito ka? Let's go back home. I already talked to Auntie and she'll never do that again. She said sorry."

"No. I'll stay here."

"Catarina..."

"No." She pulled her hand back and went back to reading.

"I want you out of here." Mariin kong sabi habang seryosong nakatingin sa kanya.

"I said no. Mas kampante ako dito."

I frowned, thinking about a certain reason why she wanted here. "Baka naman dahil andito din si Raul? Is that your reason?"

Hindi siya sumagot. Ni hindi nga niya inalis ang tingin sa walang kwentang librong hawak niya. Damn it! Nakakaasar na talaga yang Raul na 'yan.

She wanted to be here because she felt safe with Raul. I told her I could protect her pero bakit parang nakalimutan niya na 'yon?

I couldn't stop myself from frowning and lied with my back facing her. I felt angry not to her but to the fact that she felt safer more with that bästard than me. She trusted him more.
