Chapter 26

Tarah POV

The next morning we all woke up because we had class

I got ready and got Leah up and ready

"Alright guys, I will see you all in class"

"Where are you going?" said Connie

"I have to take Leah to daycare"

"Oh"

"I'll see you later" I said walking out the door

I knocked on Adams door and Charlie answered

"Hey Charlie, is Adam--"

He slammed the door right in my face

"Rude!"

Adam opened the door up and smiled

"Good morning sunshine"

I gave him a rude look

"Let's go" I said walking away

He sighed and shut the door behind him

"Charlie slammed the door in my face"

"I know, he's still pretty mad" said Adam trying to hold my hand

"That ruined my day" I said slapping his hand away

The whole walk was silent until we reached our destination

"Welcome back!" said the lady behind the desk

Her name tag read Kelsey

"I will pick the twins up around 5:30-6"

She smiled and took Leah out of my hands

"No car seats today" said Kelsey taking Bentley

"No, we figured it would be easy without them"

Kelsey nodded and walked in the back room

"Bye babies" I said waving at the twins

They disappeared into a room and we walked to class

"What's your first class?"

"Math" said Adam groaning

"Mine science"

Adam and I looked at our schedules and we had History, English and Study hall together

We arrived at school and Adam walked me to science

"Have a wonderful day my love" said Adam kissing me

I kissed him back until we got interrupted by people groaning

"Get a room" said Riley

Riley was the varsity captain of the hockey team and Adam had to play with him

"Banksie there's this thing called a room where you can make out with your girlfriend somewhere else"

"Watch it Riley!" said Adam

I had to hold him back until the team showed up

"Adam chill, don't worry about him" said Charlie pushing him back

"Adam you in science too?"

"No Goldberg, I have math"

Goldberg looked at him confused

"I thought we all were suppose to have the same classes?"

"Does everyone have science?" asked Adam looking at schedules

Everyone nodded

"That's weird" said Adam

"Well you better get to class" I said kissing his cheek

He smiled and walked to math

Charlie walked in front of me

"Charlie, can we talk" I said grabbing his hand

He turned around and looked at our hands connected to each other like that one time he pulled me out of my house

"Uh" I said letting go and pushing back my hair

Charlie looked at me and walked away

"Charlie no wait!"

He ignored me and so I walked in and found a seat by Connie and Julie. Charlie walked pass and sat right in front of me

An hour later the bell ring meaning we get to go to History

We all go into the halls and I felt someone grabbing my hand, I look up and it was Adam

"Hi" I said smiling

He smiled back and we walked to history

"How was Math?"

"Eh it was alright"

We all walked to history and someone ran into Kenny making him drop his books

"Watch it Riley" said Adam

"Don't tell me what to do freshman"

Adam stared at him until we walked into the class room

"Adam stop, you are going to make things worst with him. and you have to play with him"

"Tarah, don't worry about it"

We sat in the empty seats next to Charlie and class begun

Rest of the day was a blur, we got into the locker room to get ready for practice

Coach had us scrimmage

"Let's go I don't see a captain out here!"

I shot it and Charlie got the rebound and shot it towards the middle. A whistle blew

"Where's the one place you never want to clear the puck!" said Coach

"It's looked open" said Charlie taking his mask off

"Just answer the question"

"Listen I'm not a defenseman, I'm a scorer. You had Tarah take my spot! Tarah is the one who has two kids, why can't she play the bench!"

My jaw dropped

"Follow me" said Coach taking him to the penalty box

"Anybody share his opinion!?"

It was silent, my eyes started to tear up

"No crying Henderson"

I threw my stick down and I skated off
