Chapter 25

Tarah POV

"My name is Coach Orion" said the tall guy

"I'm Charlie" said Charlie holding his hand out and laughing

"That must mean what the C on your jersey stands for...sure doesn't stand for captain"

Charlie gave him a rude look

"Sorry coach, were just messing with you" I said looking at everyone else

"Listen up and listen up good, this is my team now and you do what I say, when I say...hot that?"

We all nodded our heads except for Charlie

"Got it Charlie?" he said loudly

Charlie shook his head

"Count off, let's climb the latter"

We all counted off and got into position to shoot at Goldberg

I got the puck and shot and Goldberg missed it

"Goldberg! When's the last time you practiced" said Coach

"Ughh, we don't really practice parsha, we either play or play around, you know smile and laugh"

Coach gave him the silent treatment

I got the puck again and shot and Julie blocked it

"Nice shot Tarah"

After practice we all headed to the locker room

"Give me a shovel and burry me right here" said a Goldberg laying on the bench

"Hey guys look he posted our positions" O said walking to the board

"I don't believe this, I play left side not right" said Fulton throwing his gloves

"Third line...man that's a major dis" said Russ

"I'm not even posted" said Adam pointing at the roster

"Yeah you are right here, Adam Banks third line center....varsity?"

"I made varsity?" he said walking away

"That's the good thing about goalie, you always know where you stand" said Goldberg laughing

"You're riding the long pony ride" said Averman

Goldberg looked at him weirdly

"Julie's one, your two" he said back at him

"I'm backup!" said Goldberg

Goldberg hit his locker

"Uh Tarah" said Dwayne

"What?"

"You're our new captain..." said Dwayne pointing at the paper

I looked at Charlie and he was giving me a rude look

"Charlie...how was I suppose to know!"

He got up slammed his stuff in his locker and walked out

"Charlie!"

"Tarah, you also took his starting position"

My jaw dropped, I can't believe this

"I'll see you guys in class tomorrow" I said locking my locker

"Come on, let's go get the twins"

Adam grabbed my hands and we walked to get the twins

"Hi Mr and Mrs Banks come on back"

We both walked through the door and Leah was playing with a little girl her size and Bentley was playing with a little boy his age

"How were they?"

"They were perfect!" said the lady smiling

"That's good!"

I walked over to Leah and she was excited to see me

"Hi baby girl!" I said picking her up

Adam picked Bentley up and put him in his car seat while I put Leah in hers

"So what are the times tomorrow?"

"Um we both start class at 9:30, so we will drop them off a little after 9 and pick up 6? is that okay?"

"That's perfect" she said smiling

I smiled back and carried Leah

"Have a good night!"

"You too!" I said walking out the door

Adam and I walked back to our dorms

"I want to see you before you go to bed" said Adam kissing my nose

"Alright" I said smiling

We walked into our separate rooms and said our goodbyes

"Leah!" said Connie taking Leah from me

"Anybody know how Charlie is doing"

They both shook there heads

I sighed and pulled out my phone

T-Charlie please don't be mad at me. It's not my fault it's coaches!

I never got a response

I placed my phone on my bed. I sat there for a second and my phone buzzed and it was Adam

A-Come outside

I smiled

"I'll be right back, Connie if Leah gets fussy her bottle is in the microwave"

I closed the door and walked outside
