Darcy was so stunned by his words and the way they made her feel that she couldn't speak, the knot in her throat dispelling into a multitude of tears that she refused to let fall. The entire day had been a whirlwind of emotions for her, going from one extreme to another, soaring through fear and sadness to frustration, anger and happiness and now a stunned delight. She had known from the first morning she woke up with Michael that he wanted to marry her, he had told her so right out with no pretences and yet, at the time, she had never thought it would have felt the way it did. She would never have been able to guess, just two days ago that she would feel so moved by his words, that he would be so honest with her as to just what he wanted from their marriage. And she was glad but unsurprised to know that what he wanted after they were married, was exactly what they had at that moment. Darcy had no idea what to do with herself as he stared at her, barely a moment passing since he'd given her the most beautiful proposal she could ever have dreamt of, though it seemed hours since he had spoken. It didn't seem to make a difference that she was screaming inside her head, the single word that answered his question, for some reason she found it impossible to actually form and could only nod her head softly to give him the answer he was waiting for. Michael couldn't help but laugh quietly in understanding as he slid the ring onto her finger, well aware that her silence was purely a result of the emotion building up within her.

Kissing her deeply, he couldn't deny the irrepressible excitement that came with knowing that no matter what anyone did, she wouldn't ever be anyone else's girl and wouldn't ever leave him, no matter what happened. It was such a good feeling that he couldn't help but wrap his arms around her and lift her from her seat as he got to his feet, her legs instinctively wrapping around his waist. Neither were able to think well enough to speak or to hide their smiles of mixed relief and excitement as he carried her through to the living room, kissing her as he lay her down and lay over her, letting the moment of exhilaration last as long as it was able to. Darcy couldn't stop the soft moan of delight that escaped her lips as Michael's kisses drifted down her throat, his hand slipping over her thigh, gently grasping her rear in approval of the way her body arched towards his. The intensity of what he felt for her, just being able to know that she was his and his alone, made it impossible for him to stop and persuade himself that it was a bad idea as his hands slid under her dress, pushing it up her body to expose her stomach. He could feel her breath quickening as he kissed her bare skin, gently slipping off her underwear before lifting himself to hover over her again, his own breathing ragged as he wrapped her legs around his body, his mouth opening breathlessly above hers until the tender brush of her tongue against his made his eyes close.

He loved the way she teased him and no matter how much he couldn't stand it, he wouldn't never ask her to deprive him of her playfulness. It felt heavenly to hear his deep groan filling the room as he kissed her hungrily and Darcy could only let him have his way with her, closing her eyes to his kisses and the weight of his body. Her hands moved slowly yet blind to any thought as they undid the tie and shirt that stood between her and her new fiancé, a smile reaching Michael as he shouldered out of his shirt and discarded it. It didn't matter that Tai would be coming back home after his race, that there was no guarantee as to when the race would finish, whether it be at nine o'clock or midnight and it didn't matter that he had no intention of moving from that sofa for the rest of the night. He couldn't hold back his feelings and for once, wanted to think of himself before anyone else. Ever since he had met his beautiful girl, he wanted nothing more than to spend forever looking at her and making love to her and no matter how tired he was, how much there was to do either for work or in the house, nothing would ever get between himself and his girl. His stare was nothing less than intense and passionate as he looked down at her, taking her left hand in his and teasingly taking the tip of her finger in his mouth before leading her hand down to his trousers. Darcy was less than timid as she undid his trousers, a sensual and deliberate delay in her slow movements and within a second Michael kissed her hungrily, with no other thought than to teach her a lesson that it was all well and good that she wanted to tease him, especially when she had been so timid on their first night together, but that he had certain limits. And there were just some things that he wasn't willing to put up with, and that if she was going to continue to delay their lovemaking each and every time just to tease him, then she would have to deal with the consequences.
