"Don't know... And I thought he was already weird enough! Talking to himself." She waved the book, before tossing it over to the snow haired girl. The Luna caught it with both hands, as if it was a priceless treasure. She observed the jacket before she opened it, scanning through the pages. "Amelia!!" Magnolia heard Jeanette shouting before sensing that someone was coming up.
Cinnamon.
"Amelia, let's go now." Magnolia whimpered, afraid that she might be seen as a bad influence. "They can wait! It's my birthday anyways!" Amelia continued to scavenge through Myers' belongings. "Amelia!" Her friends called from downstairs. Magnolia tucked the book in her shorts behind her back, and under her shirt, just before the resident returned to his room.
The door swung open, giving them a shock, and the Myers glared daggers at the girls. "Why are you in my room?" Myers demanded, eyeing Magnolia especially. Amelia dropped the broken device that she found as she rested on her hip, folding her arms. "I'm telling mum on you if you try anything funny." She muttered.
Myers scoffed and stood at the doorway, leaving enough space for them to slip through. "Everyone is waiting for you girls." He growled. Magnolia hurried out, embarrassed, forcing Amelia to follow as well. Myers led them downstairs to the living room where they saw a chocolate cake on the table.
"Happy birthday to you!" Everyone started singing as Amelia waltz her way in. Magnolia awkwardly hurried to a corner. She eyed Myosotis, who was guiding Amelia to her seat in front of the cake. Myers leaned on a wall outside the living room as Magnolia watched Amelia smile brightly. "Luna," Myers called. Magnolia turned to him.
She made her way to stand beside him. "You have my number, don't you?" He asked, looking at her. She shook her head. She didn't save his number. And Magnolia often cleared her phone log. Myers sighed. He took out a slip of used paper from under of his jacket and a pen. He scribbled his number onto it before folding the paper.
He tossed the paper to Magnolia. Because of the lightweight material, Magnolia juggled the paper for at moment before safely catching it. "W-Wait!" Magnolia wanted to ask him. But she was silenced when he pushed himself off from the wall. "Be ready." He muttered, and headed upstairs.
・・・
"Thanks for giving me a ride home." Magnolia smiled as Myosotis pulled over at her house. "No probs." He smiled, pulling her in for a kiss. All of her anxiety gone with that kiss. "See you on Monday." He bid. "See you when I do." Magnolia blew a kiss. Myosotis drove off as she watched. Magnolia spun around, only to be startled by Gérard.
"You son of a..." she hissed, nearly screaming. Gérard shushed her by pressing his index finger to her lips as he leaned closely. "It's not safe here." He whispered. The supernaturals suddenly vanished into ashes; they were traveling to another location.
They headed to the attic of Angelina's house; otherwise known as Gérard's room. When they fully materialized, Gérard threw her a suspicious look. "You weren't checking that Myers guy out were you?" He asked.
Magnolia scoffed, puffing up her cheeks with annoyance and defiance as she folded her arms. "No way, Myoy is my mate. There's no way I'd check him out." She protested, but realization hit her afterwards. "Wait... were you stalking me? I'm going to tell Angey that you're a stalker!" Magnolia complained.
"Sheesh! I was just checking!" Gérard defended, tensing his shoulders with fear. He saw her eyes turn golden. "Lac! I'm sorry! Okay?" He begged. "You'd better be." She growled. Her eyes reverted. "So, what else do you know?" He asked. Magnolia fiddled behind her back and pulled out Myers' book. "Amelia said that it's like a diary or something." She explained. Magnolia opened the book and read its logs.
Almost everything was related to wolves. Especially when he wrote about a voice in his head. "I'm going back home." She said, walking over to the hatch. She unlocked it, unfolding the ladder before she slowly descended. Gérard didn't say anything as he watched the Luna disappear from sight.
・・・
After having a shower and was now resting on her bed, Magnolia scanned through the other pages. She kept turning until she came across a page about Aurora and her mate.
"A girl came up to me earlier this afternoon. She was much older than me; probably by a few years. She said that I was her mate. I didn't understand her until she explained to me. I could've have said no, but I agreed to her pleas. When I followed her home, I saw her main guy. He was a tall blond man, slightly older than us. He wasn't very pleased to see me. I stayed until late noon before she sent me back home." Magnolia could sense Myers' sadness in that page.
"Magnolia!" Hunter shouted, clearly unhappy. She groaned. "What?" She called. "Magnolia! Front and centre! NOW!" He roared. Magnolia shot off her bed and headed downstairs. As soon as she had reached the ground floor, she headed towards the kitchen. "Yes?" She answered with annoyance, finding a displeased Hunter. The male stormed up to her. He grabbed her arm and sniffed her wrist. Instinctively, he opened out his hand. "What do you have that is not yours?" He demanded.
Magnolia didn't comply. "You have rogue scent on you. What happened?" He demanded. She still remained quiet. "What happened?" Hunter repeated, tightening his grip on her wrist. "I was in one of Myoy's cousins room! And he isn't a rogue!" She finally spat, struggling out of his grip. "What makes you think so? And 'he'? Magnolia, you know how strong male rogues can be, right?!" Hunter yelled.
Then, Magnolia saw his his eyes turned olive gold. 'This ain"t gonna turn out well...' Lacrimosa groaned. "He's a spy of Golden Bell." His wolf, Trafalgar, growled. Hunter's eyes reverted, now angrier than before. "If he is part of Golden Bell, that means they are here in our territory." Hunter snarled. (Remember that only Jëager and Levi knew about it first).
"He needs help!" Magnolia defended. But Hunter wouldn't believe. "You are grounded until Golden Bell is sent back to Scotland!" He snapped. What the hell? Magnolia's eyes leaked as she gritted her teeth. Fury bundled up in her. "I HATE YOU!" She screamed.
Simple words were heavy as bedrock to Hunter. Dumbfounded, he loosened his grip. "You're really useless, you know that?" She yelled. "Always worrying over the smallest of things! I'm not four anymore, Hunter and Trafalgar! I'm 15! A teenager! I can take care of myself and rogues!" Magnolia yanked her wrist out of his grasp and stormed back upstairs.
Diego was just heading down for a snack when the Luna growled past him. She slammed her door behind her. Diego hurried down to the kitchen to see Hunter sitting down beside the refrigerator, hugging his knees as he buried his head in his arms. It was a stab to the heart and soul when she said that.
"Yo bro, what happened?" Diego asked, skidding over to his older brother. "And where's Levi?" Diego continued. Hunter's hands were shaking uncontrollably. Diego grabbed his brother's hands. "Hunter... what happened? And take your time about it, 'kay?"
