I'm not crazy (Shadow X Reader)

5)

You walked through the halls with Shadow, seeing as he held the blank face as before, watching everyone move to their destinations. 

When both of you reached the classroom you were assigned first on your schedule. You immediately saw the chattering people stop their converstions right as you were spotted behind Shadow. 

They stared in both confusion and amusement. It's like they never expected you to show up behind the one with rumors and a reputation.

Shadow glared at the curious faces and went to find a seat, leaving you to stand by yourself to ponder over what was going on. When the Ebony hedgehog took his spot, he motioned you to come over and you blinked. 

Following his small demand, you went to sit down next to him. He nodded at you and turned to the front as the instructer walked in, holding a bag of papers and a constantly spilling coffee mug. 

The instructer would wince here and there as the coffee would pour on his hands and self. 

As the students watched in laughter as the professor that was suppose to instruct was struggling over his small little show he was putting. "Son of a cracker!" He would yell as the papers slipped from his grasp. Shadow smirked, a light shining in his eyes as he watched with amusement.

"Looks like he is new here, wouldn't mind teaching him how this school works." He mumbled under his breath, hoping you wouldn't hear. But  oh how that was wrong.

"How does the school work?" You whispered towards Shadow. He looked at you with cold eyes. 

"Why do you need to know? You already know how the school works." He said, turning his attention back to the instructer. 

When you turned your attention to the front as well, you couldn't help but wonder on what shadow was meaning to what he had said. 

"It's nothing to worry about, ____." 

You turned your attention to the back of you, seeing a yellow fox holding a tookpick and his phone in hands. He smiled at you and continued on with what ever he was doing. 

"How.. How do you know my name?"

The fox grinned, causing you to feel very uncomfortable. "Everyone knows eachother." Was all he said before the professor finally gathered his will together and started to instruct. You continued to stare at him before turning back to pay attention.

But as he finished one sentence. The bell for the first class rung. Everyone stood up. Including you and Shadow. However, the fox stayed behind. 

He led out his hand, and smiled. 

"I'm Tails the fox, nice to meet you, ____!" 

You shook his hand, smiled before walking out the class confused and on edge. "That was very strange." You muttered to yourself and followed Shadow to the next class, knowing he had that one with you.

But before you could move further, Shadow stopped in his tracks causing you to stop with him. He turned his body towards you and sighed. 

"Whatever you hear about this school. Do not believe." He said seriously, his tone stern.

You didn't answer, but swallowed an lump in your throat.

"Do you understand what I just said?" He added to what he had said before. You didn't answer. 

"Answer me!" He hissed, sounding impatient to you not answering.

"Y-Yes." 

He smiled, all traces of how he was before gone. It was so quick that you didn't understand what just happened. What was going on?
