Pushed Aside
I could've been yours.
You could've been mine.
But you chose another path,
Without taking your time
To think of what we had
In our pasts,
And how that
Could've lasted.
Yet you pushed me aside,
Said "Loyalty before love,"
And left me there
Like a one-winged dove.
You could've resigned,
But you pushed me aside.
