Chapter twenty four: Sectumsempra

1.7.1945

Draco walked down the hall towards the dungeons. He hadn't seen Granger all week since Riddle had been poisoned, knowing her she would try to put the blame on him. They didn't call her the smartest witch of their generation for no reason, Draco smirked. He wasn't intending on killing Riddle that day, he just wanted him to suffer like how he made his whole family suffer.

Stopping in front of the dungeon he said the password and the double doors swung open. He glanced around the area, frowning as he didn't see Riddle anywhere, he was spending too much time with Granger and it was starting to annoy him. He liked annoying her when she was around. Plus she's hot now Draco thought his lip curling up again.

"Oy! Prince do you know where Granger is?" He asked the slouched greasy haired boy

"Oy! Prince do you know where Granger is?" He asked the slouched greasy haired boy.

Alastair glanced up at Draco and scowled.
"I haven't seen Hermione all week since Riddle had been poisoned. Why are you asking?" He said narrowing his eyes at the blonde.

"I believe it is not of your business you greasy bat." Draco replied smiling arrogantly. He heard Abraxas snicker from his seat causing his smile to grow.

Alastair suddenly stood up rushing over to Draco sticking a long skinny finger in his face. "Listen here Rowle, you stay away from Hermione or I'll hex you to oblivion!" He growled menacingly.

Draco smirked "You have some strong competition Prince. I don't think Riddle would appreciate you being in love with his wife..." He drawled, Alastair's eyes widened.

"They aren't married!" Alastair yelled, his dark eyes filled with fury.

Draco didn't look fazed at all, he had already known this since Hermione told him about the curse. On the other hand Abraxas and Lestrange looked up at them from their seats with confused expressions.

"You heard me! He cursed her, bound them together by force!" Alastair yelled frantically.

Draco's jaw twitched in annoyance. "Yes, yes you're right ok? Now stop your screaming your making my ears bleed."

Alastair huffed shaking his head and turned around swiftly, his cape bellowing with the wind.

Hermione curled up against Tom's side and sighed as he wrapped his arms tighter around her. She felt his warm breath on top of her head, she could hear his heart beating quickly and feel the rise and fall of his chest.

"It's almost dinner, love" Tom whispered kissing the top of her head. Hermione groaned slightly not wanting to get out of her bed.

"Can we not eat with the Slytherin's, I'm sure one of them poisoned you Tom." Hermione said glancing up at Tom as he put a shirt on, getting distracted momentarily.

Tom smirked noticing her staring "Whatever you want." He replied walking over to the bathroom. Dippet had still allowed them to resign in a extra single room since they were supposedly married.

"Well your in a joyous mood today." Hermione noticed in amusement. "Usually you'd put up a fight when I mentioned your dearest Slytherin's.

Tom frowned "I slept well, that's all." He said, putting on his cloak before summoning a comb into his hand, combing his hair in his usual coiffed hair style.

Hermione shook her head before grabbing Tom's hand pulling him out of their room. They walked together in the hall in a comfortable silence, students glanced at them while walking passed them, a few girls glared at Hermione.

"Meet me at the Quiddich field tonight at eleven, don't be late you know how I have a hatred for tardiness." He replied glancing down at her, before looking back forwards lifting his chin up arrogantly at some passing Gryffindor boys.

Hermione rolled her eyes at this action he glanced down at her and scoffed, his signature scowl gracing his thin lips. "When am I ever late." She simply said earning no reply from the young dark lord.

When the two arrived to the great hall they were greeted by the chitter chatter of their fellow students. Hermione looked over to the Gryffindor table where she saw Lois waving her down, she smiled and led Tom towards the table. The table suddenly went completely still even the great hall went quiet, watching the lioness and snake walk over to her head table. The hall erupted in whispers and gasps as Tom begrudgingly sat down beside Hermione whom took a seat beside Harold.

Daniel glared grudgingly at Tom. "I'm fine with you dating Riddle Mione but for the love of Merlin why is he at the Gryffindor table!" Daniel exclaimed, looking at her in disbelief.

"Do you have a problem with me being her Weasley?" Tom growled scowling at the ginger.

Oh no Hermione thought. She knew where this was heading and it wasn't pretty at all.

"Actually I do." Daniel replied matching his scowl.

"Tom, Daniel stop bickering like infants you both are 18, act your age!" Hermione burst out glaring at the two men. Tom smirked while Daniel apologised slumping his shoulders. She glared at Tom wiping the smirk off his face, the whole table watched them in amusement before going back to their meal.

10:00 p.m

Hermione picked up her books from the table she was sitting at in the library, it was already ten, she had only an hour to get dressed and meet Tom at the field. She knew that he was currently having a meeting with his knights, apparently Draco had been initiated into the group already. She felt nervous at the idea of how close Draco was getting to Tom, he was in all of their classes and now one of his Knights. She knew the time would come where he would have to sooner or later kill him...

Hermione shook her head no that's not going to happen I won't let him, I'm changing him he's changing.

She sighed and walked out of the library leaving her thoughts behind. The hall was oddly quiet, she felt her skin crawl when she turned he hall, something was wrong. Hermione look behind her to see no one there but she could've sworn that she heard footsteps behind her. She shrugged her shoulders passing the noise off as just being tired and hearing things.

Suddenly out of nowhere someone gripped her wrist hard and pulled her into the washroom beside her, she let out a scream and looked up at her assaulted. Victoria Parkinson stared down at her with an evil smile.

"Granger." She hissed squeezing Hermione's arm tighter to the point where she could just feel it bruising.

"What do you want!" Hermione yelled trying to shake the girl off, she caught sight of the girls wand in her hand.

"Stay away from Tom or else!" Parkinson growled aiming her wand up at Hermione's chest.

Finally getting the chance to squirm out of Parkinson's grip Hermione raised up her wand "INCARCER-"

"SECTUMSEMPRA!!" Parkinson yelled before Hermione could say the blinding spell. The bleeding out spell hit Hermione straight on the chest and immediately blood started to well out of her mouth and wound, Parkinson with wide eyes watched as the girl fell to her knees.

She hadn't met to use the spell, he told her not to use it on her yet. Without a word she quickly ran out of the loo not looking back at the dying girl on the floor.
