Elli walked through the school hallways. She was the nerd that everyone knew. It was strange, but she was popular. A popular nerd—that was new for the entire school. However, Elli wasn't a rude popular girl. She was nice to everyone she met and had hundreds of friends. However, she had three best friends named Mindy, Jaceon, and Desmond. Of course, she also had her boyfriend Zachary who was the most popular boy in the entire school.

"Hey, Elli!" people called as she walked by. Elli turned her head, her gorgeous brunette hair flying about her face. It came to rest in curls just above her rib cage. Her hazel eyes sparkled as she looked around at all the high schoolers and waved good morning to them.

"Hello, everyone!" Elli exclaimed. She entered the school and found Jaceon talking to Mindy. Mindy was captain of the volleyball team, but she was a quiet girl who didn't really speak her mind. Her father spent most of his days at home with her and her mother. She had a good life. Jaceon was Mindy's boyfriend. He had California model hair that was naturally platinum blonde. His eyes were blue and he had a surfer's tan. He was the second best football player in the school. Zachary, Elli's boyfriend, was the best.

"Hi, Elli!" Mindy waved as she approached. Elli waved back and spotted Desmond walking towards them. He waved and his bright blue eyes shone with intelligence. He was the second smartest kid in school, Elli was the first.

"When's the next volleyball game, Mindy?" Desmond asked as he came up to the small group. Mindy checked the date on her phone quickly.

"It's tomorrow, actually. Are you guys coming?" she questioned. Everyone nodded enthusiastically.

"Of course!" they all exclaimed. The bell rang, signalling for them to split up for their different classes. Elli crossed paths with Zachary on the way to English. He greeted her quickly and together walked to class. As soon as they entered, the entire class brightened. Everyone waved and the teacher smiled at them.

"Sorry we're late, Ms. Harris." Elli apologized, finding a seat in the front row next to Zachary and some other popular kids.

"Don't worry about it, Elli. I'll just ignore it." Ms. Harris promised. Elli smiled and sat back in her seat. Soon, Ms. Harris started the class and everyone quieted down so they could listen.
