Umbrella Scene Remake (Adrienette)

Marinette's POV

Class was so boring today, except for the fact that I talked back to Chloe (which was amazing by the way). I ended up staring out the window and looking at the raindrops fall down slowly turning into a downpour.

I walked out the room, arms looped together with Alya, after Ms. Bustier said that we were dismissed. "Ohmygosh gurl! Look at the time- I gotta go, sorry. I need to babysit my siblings." Alya rushed out of the school before I could even reply.

I opened my bag to look for my umbrella. It wasn't there but I still looked for it. I checked under my books, behind my tablet, even in the small pockets. "Forgot your umbrella too?" said a voice behind me. "Yeah, I-" I turned around, only to see that I was talking to the bubblegum boy.

I crossed my arms and turned around, hoping he'd get the idea that I wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone. Well, maybe not anyone, but certainly not him. We stayed like that for a few minutes as the rain poured down even harder.

"Hey, uhm... You know I was just trying to take off the chewing gum from your chair. I swear it." said the not-so bubblegum boy. I turned around to look at him. He had blond hair, bright green eyes and a nervous smile on his lips (it's adorable tbh).

"Okay fine I believe you." I mumbled, feeling guilty about judging him so quickly. He pulled me into a tight hug and said, "I'm new to this friend-making thing. I've never been to school."

That's sad, maybe that's why his only friend was Chloe. He was still hugging me. "Well, for starters... Friends don't hug this long and t-thughis tughight" I had to cough out the last few words because he was basically choking me to death.

Adrien's POV

I suddenly let go causing the girl to stumble. I caught her hand just in time and pulled her close. Our faces were inches apart and I thought that I could look at her face all day long. The way her pretty bluebell eyes shine and the way she bites her bottom lip while thinking.

We stayed like that for a while. Never uttering a word.

Our moment was interrupted by the honk of my car. I was about to go down when she said, "Marinette Dupain-Cheng. My name is Marinette Dupain-Cheng." She gave a small wave and looked back at the road.

"Well, Marinette. It looks like you don't have an umbrella and I, Adrien Agreste, would like to bring you home." I bowed and held out my right hand and put my left hand behind my back- slowly crossing my fingers and hoping that she'd accept.

Marinette had burst out laughing but took my hand anyway. I took out a blackish-brownish blazer with white cuffs at the end- Nathalie gave them to me for my birthday last year- and brought it up just so that it could cover us both. Marinette stood a bit too far for the jacket to cover her.

"Uhm, Mari. You're standing a bit too far and you'll probably get wet. Here- grab my waist and hold on tight." I said as I comically gestured for her to grab my waist. She let out a giggle and slowly wrapped her arm around me. I swear I think I saw her blush.

"On three. One. Two. Three!" We ran out of the cover of the building and into the rain. We dashed down the staircase and onto the ground, trying to avoid any puddles. I held the jacket up with one hand and opened the door with the other. I let Marinette go in first and I shortly  followed after her.

She looked around the limo in awe. Her mouth slightly opened as she took in the mini fridge filled with food, the tv right in front of her, and the stacks of clothes in the corner. Her eyes sparkled even more when she saw all the fashion magazines beside her. She turned around and blushed even redder than a tomato when she caught me staring.

I looked at her a heartbeat more and broke the moment

Gorilla drove her home first and soon we were at their bakery soon enough. She got off, turned around and waved. Marinette strode into the store. Gorilla and I were about to leave when she came out of the bakery with a box in her hands. Thankfully it stopped raining.

"Wait! Adrien!" I got out of the car and walked to her. "What's up, Mari?" I asked and she blushed again which was really cute. She was basically adorable. "I-I uhm want-ted to these donuts give. I MEAN- give these donuts to you." She blushed even more and smiled shyly.

"Thank you so much, Mari! Wait here-" I went to the car and took out the blazer from a while ago. "Here. I think it'll look better on you." I handed her the jacket and she took it as I took my donuts.

I couldn't help it.

I have her another hug and gave her a quick peck on the cheek, earning a very red Marinette. I waved goodbye and she waved back.

"Ugh, day one and you guys are lovebirds already?" said Plagg as he zoomed out of my pocket. "I don't know Plagg... I like Marinette but I'm in love with Ladybug." Plagg just snorted and slapped my face as he said, "You're so clueless huh? Nevermind. You'll figure it out soon enough." I looked at Plagg with a confused face and he just flew away to eat all the camembert cheese in the fridge.

Marinette's POV

He kissed me. Adrien Agreste kissed me on the cheek. I have his blazer- which is mine now.

I stayed outside the bakery processing what just happened. "You guys are meant for each other you know," said Tikki as she looked at me from my purse.

I hope so.

I wore that blazer to school everyday.
