Taking a deep breath, Briana stared at herself in the mirror while the royal hairdresser did her hair; she couldn't believe that she was actually going to marry Lionel today, she had never thought that her wedding day would arrive so soon.

She felt a little sick and couldn't even stomach the idea of breakfast, she had no idea what would happen today and that scared the crap out of her.

"You look nervous," Ariana said peeking at her friend from where she was having her own hair done, she remembered what it had been like on her own wedding day and she knew this would be even bigger.

Everyone was talking about today especially after the announcement that King Jorge had made only a couple of days earlier; this would be the first time everyone would be on show for the planet to see.

"I feel sick," Briana confessed wishing that she could get rid of the nerves that she was feeling, she couldn't help but wonder how everyone else had coped during their own wedding.

Louisa and Florencia seemed so at ease with the whole royal thing and it made Briana feel so out of place especially with the idea of competing with them to become Queen of Aulea.

There was a knock on the door and Briana peeked towards the door as a man stepped inside, he was wearing the royal uniform and had a heavy looking box in his arms.

"A gift from Queen Celia," the man announced moving to set it down on the table, he stood as Ariana and Briana came to see what it was; it wasn't unusual for Queen Celia to depart gifts on her daughter-in-law-to-be.

Louisa had been gifted a brooch that had belonged to King Jorge's mother on her wedding day to Rodrigo while Florencia had been gifted a necklace that had also belonged to King Jorge's mother on her wedding day to Matias.

Slowly opening the box, Briana gasped as she stared down at the fringe tiara that sat inside wondering why Queen Celia would send her something so expensive; she feared what would happen if something happened to it today.

Ariana couldn't help but grin, this would certainly annoy Louisa and Florencia and she couldn't wait to see their faces when they realised that Briana had been gifted this instead of them.

It was a great gesture from Queen Celia and people would see it as the Queen choosing the woman that she thought should be the new Queen of Aulea.

"It's the tiara that she wore on her wedding day... she wishes for you to have it," the man explained making Briana look at him, it was a great honour to be gifted with something like this and she hoped that she wouldn't disappointed.

Ariana grinned, it was a lovely gift and she was sure that it would be the first of many to arrive that morning; a lot of people wished to pay their respects to the new princess.

King Jorge had made it clear like Louisa and Florencia before her that Briana would be titled 'Her Royal Highness Princess Briana of Aulea'; that would be her title for as long as she lived.

The only time that would change was if she and Lionel won the campaigning to become the next King and Queen of Aulea; it was going to be an interesting year for the couple.

"This also arrived for you... it's from Earth," the man said handing over a gift that had arrived for Briana, he had been given instructions to make sure that Briana received this gift.

Briana carefully took the gift and looked at Ariana wondering who it was from, she turned the letter that had come with it over in her hands before she stilled.

A lump formed in her throat as she recognised the handwriting that was on the front, Briana couldn't believe that this was happening.

Her hands shook while she slowly opened up the letter, Briana was barely able to hold back the tears that formed in her eyes; she had thought that her wedding day would pass without both of her parents in some way.

My dearest Briana,

I so wish that I could have been there with you on this day, it was always my dream to watch my only daughter to married and sadly I can't be there with you.

I am sure that whoever he is, that he is a lucky man indeed and I hope that you have a day that you have dreamed of even if I can't be there with you.

This necklace belonged to your grandmother and she wore it on her wedding day passing it to me so I could do the same. Now I pass it on to you.

Have a wonderful day my darling,

All my love,

Your Mother x

Lionel ran his fingers through his hair as he prepared to leave the palace for the temple, he hoped that Briana had been okay staying at a hotel with Ariana so that she could prepare for the wedding.

It had been strange staying in his parents' residence again while the finishing touches were made to his own apartments; everything had to be in order before the newlyweds returned.

Lionel couldn't help but wonder what would happen after the wedding, he loved Briana and he knew that it would be a couple of days before the headed out on their honeymoon.

He had planned a trip to Earth for a week for their honeymoon, Lionel wished to see where Briana had grown up and then they would spend a week on a beach here on Aulea.

Lionel knew that people would want to see a lot of their new princess and he hoped that things weren't going to be too crazy when the wedding was over.

His parents had already started to plan out the royal duties that he and Briana would take when their break was over; they wanted to slowly ease the newest royal into her role and it would take time.

The door to his old bedroom opened and Lionel smiled at the sight of his sister, she looked beautiful in her dress and he hoped that Louisa and Florencia weren't going to cause any trouble.

Lionel wouldn't be pleased if either of them turned up in white, he knew that his brothers would do nothing to stop their wives from trying to steal the attention from Briana.

They were taking the campaign to become the next King of Aulea seriously and both weren't going to let their younger siblings cause them any trouble.

"You ready?" Maria Sol asked with a smile, she loved the dress that she was wearing for the wedding and she couldn't wait until they were at temple for the wedding.

Already there was a massive news coverage about the wedding and none of the royal family had even left the palace yet; they had to make it there before the bride left the hotel.

Everything was perfectly planned out and Maria Sol had no doubts that the day would go off without a hitch; she couldn't imagine how well things would work when they didn't have the world watching them and they were able to relax.
