Once upon a time
Butterflies terrified me
I would cower away from their wings that chime
In the air around meThen you strolled into my life
Effortlessly opening a cage
In which I locked my butterflies
And now in my stomach they rageWhen I see your face
When I touch you
When I can sense your presence
Their fluttering proves something trueI was so confused
As I wasn't terrified of their fluttering
The more I felt, the more I wanted
And I hoped they didn't plan on disappearingYou made me love them
You made me love you
The butterflies they came with you
But they also disappeared with youBecause you opened a cage with butterflies for someone else
For someone who you loved more than me
How did I know this?
Because you smiled brighter with her, I seeOh how could I,
When you asked me to stay
The butterflies in my stomach, they don't fly
Because when you look at her, you plucked all their wings with every single gaze*****
A/N:*squeaks* hiiii
I'm sorry for disappearing for almost two months :DBut I was enjoying my freedom after my gruelling exams so I didn't get time to write any poem's at all
*mumbles* not to mention the lack of inspiration too
But that's in the past and I put up another poem so yay!!
What do you think about it? The picture for the poem doesn't have a direct connection, but comment me your thoughts anyways :D
Also check out out _paintingdeath005_'s book Printing Memories. (*whispers* cover by yours truly) she has put up some amazing poems that I really really liked so please go check them out.
Also this poem is dedicated to her for it was her poems that gave me inspiration to write this one. Also because she be da bomb. thank you!Ice creams for everyone because it's summer here and I'm craving some ;D
Lots and lots of love and words,
